“He’ll find us.”
“What if he doesn’t? Then what? We’re stuck here, Bunny. I can’t live like this. I won’t.” I shake my head as I pull away from her and begin to pace back and forth once more. There has to be a way out of here. At the parties, the doors are open. They aren’t locked. Yeah, a man stood near the door, but I don’t know how much attention he was really paying when Free brought me here. Maybe I could run. If I could just get to Free, he could get the other girls.
“What are you thinking?”
“The night Free brought me here. There wasn’t a lot of security. I don’t know if it’s because the girls were older and not willing to run or what it was. What if it’s the same the tonight? What if there aren’t many men on security?”
“You want to run? What if he catches you? He’d surely hurt you, Addison. I don’t trust him.”
“I don’t trust him either, but we have to try something. We can’t stay like this, Bunny. We have to find a way out of here.”
“You’re right. What if I cause a scene? Get the attention off you?”
“How are you going to do that?”
“I have my ways. I’ll distract them and you take off. Run as fast as you can. Run as far as you can and then get ahold of Free.”
“You think it will work?” She shrugs her shoulder.
“It’s worth a try if you’re willing to do it.”
“Oh, I’m more than willing to do it.”
“Then we have a plan. I’ll distract them, you run.”
“And the others?”
“They don’t need to know what’s happening. They may panic and ruin the whole thing. We need to stay calm and go along with whatever he wants us to do. Then I’ll take over.”
“Are you sure about this?”
“It’s the only way, isn’t it? You’re right. We can’t sit here like this,” she reminds me. I nod my head. We can do this.
“Okay. Let’s do it. Are you sure you’ll be okay?”
“I’m sure he’ll pull his girls once he’s seen one of them run. He’s not going to want the others to follow. Although, it wouldn’t hurt if they did. They couldn’t chase you all at once,” she says with a smirk. I wonder how many others would try to run if given the chance. I wish I could talk to the others, but I can’t. We’re all in separate rooms.
“Then that’s what we’ll do. I’ll run,” I tell her. She nods her head as I walk over and sit on the edge of the bed. She follows and sits next to me, patting my arm.
“We have a plan. It’s not solid, but it’s a plan,” she says.
“I hope this works. I can’t do what Jamie wants me to do, Bunny.”
“I know you can’t. Just follow my lead, and I’ll take it from there.” I nod my head, trusting Bunny. I know she had a thing for me when I first got to the clubhouse but she has quickly become one of my best friends. I wouldn’t know what to do here without her, and I can’t thank God enough she was stuck in the same room as me.
Chapter 22
Free
I can’t sit still in one place too long before I’m back on my feet and pacing the room. This is bullshit. There are no signs of them anywhere. Seven missing girls and there are no fucking signs of them. How? How does that happen? We’ve pulled the feed from the clubhouse, and nothing stuck out. No cuts. No marks. Just a bunch of assholes in ski masks with guns. Did we fuck this up? Did someone target us for a reason?
Addison. I want Addison. I don’t give a fuck I paid for her. I don’t give a fuck that she may hate me for using the drugs on her. She’s mine, and I don’t plan on letting her go. She means everything to me, whether she knows that or not. And I’m guessing she doesn’t know. I haven’t told her. I told her I couldn’t keep her.
Jamie. I wonder if Jamie has heard anything. I pull my cell out and dial his number.
“Hey, little brother,” he says into the line.
“You heard about any shit goin’ down around here? Seven girls?”
