Harrison yells, “Text me your address!”

I run hard and as fast as possible, cursing the scoundrel with every outward exhale. Diving into my car and pulling out of the parking lot like I’m running away from a rabid dog. I can’t help thinking I’m an idiot.

“What the hell am I doing? I’m going on an overnight… with Harrison Briggs? Shit…I shouldn’t.”

However, the thought of having alone time with him has my lady bits waking up again as my body sizzles for more with him.

“Stop it. Calm yourself down, or you’ll never get through the night.”

HARRISON

The grin hasn’t left my face as I watched the most delectable bubble butt run away in order to pack to head out of town with me. I think most of the guys thought I hit my head during practice because I’ve been a jolly old pleasant fella.

I park my Escalade in front of her apartment building, and I jump out to grab her suitcase as she wheels it down along the pathway. She’s annoyed, which makes her even sexier because she pushes out her chest a little more as she stands ramrod straight. I can’t tell you how many times I jerked off to the idea of slipping in between those Double Ds. I’d bet my house on that’s what they are.

She walks right past me, leaving her bag, and sits in the passenger seat. I grin. I don’t waste a moment getting us on the road.

“You all packed then? Thirty minutes wasn’t a big deal, was it?” I bite back my laugh.

Bergan rolls her eyes. “Kinda. I just threw a bunch of stuff into my suitcase. I’m not even sure what kind of clothes I need. Where are we even going?”

“Storm Canyon, Colorado.”

“Why are we going to Storm Canyon?”

“I have family there.”

She nods and leans her head against the headrest and looks out the window. I turn on the radio and some of my grunge music comes on.

Bergan turns and her little nose wrinkles with distaste. It’s cute.

“What is this?”

“Music.”

“This is nothing but screaming.”

Wanting to make this the best experience for her, I tell her to pick her own music then.

After all, I’m amenable. Or at least when it comes to her.

“My phone’s dead. Can I use yours?”

“How is your phone dead?”

“It’s got a failing battery. I just haven’t gone in to get another one.”

“I couldn’t live like that. I have to have mine charged and ready to accept calls at any moment. Use mine,” I nod.

She smirks. “You’re not afraid of me seeing all your girlfriends texting or calling?”

“No girlfriend or… girl friends. I have shit to do, like getting back to Cali.”

“I know California is gorgeous, I mean Paso Robles with those vistas of the valley? And San Francisco with the sunset over the bay? And the sequoias in the Kings Canyon Forest? Yes, it amazing, but Colorado… I mean, just look at that. Look… at… that! That sunset over the snowcapped mountains. The pink, red, orange with purple bursts and ribbons? It’s like someone painted it perfectly.”

She does have a way with words and the way she talks about Colorado is how I talk about California. And I’m definitely looking at something… someone special.
