A smile crept along my face. The feds knew about Derek, which meant they knew what Derek did for Salvatore. With the feds so far up Salvatore’s ass, we might have an opportunity here to take care of two problems.

“Hannah belongs to me. That means I protect her. You don’t need to worry about her anymore,” I said to Derek.

“You have no idea what Salvatore is capable of right now! He will kill her!” Derek screamed at me, then stopped when a large presence filled the doorway. His eyes flicked back at me.

“Derek, I told you to stay away from her twice. There will not be a third time.” I stepped to the side and let my cousin, Leonidas, step closer to Derek.

Leonidas was Michael’s oldest son, Bas and Rion’s older brother, and the scariest of all of us. We were the same height at six feet two but he was built like he could rip someone’s limbs off with his bare hands. He liked the darker side of our business and what I had planned for Derek was right up his alley.

“You can’t do this!” Derek screamed.

Before I and the guys left, I looked at Leonidas, who asked, “Can I melt his body in acid?”

Derek gave Leonidas a horrified look and I mulled Leo's suggestion over for a second. It'd be easier to have Derek’s body disappear, but I could use this to my advantage against Salvatore instead.

“Sadly not. This should be execution style. Make it look like Salvatore killed him,” I explained to Leonidas who looked disappointed but nodded. Making it look like Salvatore killed Derek, the feds would act faster in their investigation for fear that Salvatore was on to them.

Now, I needed to go make sure Hannah was protected from Salvatore and there was only one way that I could make certain that she was protected. Convincing her was not going to be easy though.

Standing outside of Hannah’s building, I looked up at her apartment. I needed to take her out of here and keep her and her friends safe. I’d already lost her once before and I refused to lose her ever again.

Would she trust me enough to protect her? There may be no other choice but to force her to come with me. If it came to her staying alive, I would do anything. Including kidnapping.

Bas came up next to me, “Are you ready for this?”

“We don’t have a choice. We need to get them the hell out of that apartment.” I rubbed a hand down my face. I started walking up the stairs. Bas somehow had a set of keys to the door to the building.

We walked through the door and up the stairs to the third floor. I took a breath and knocked on the door to her apartment. I was gearing up for a fight but when she opened the door, and I saw her in my old shirt and tiny cotton shorts, I froze.

“Liam? Bas?” She looked at us both wide-eyed holding her wallet in her hand like she was going to pay for takeout. When my eyes slid up from the t-shirt to her eyes I couldn’t hold back anymore.

I stepped right up to her, wrapping an arm around her waist and pushing my fingers into her hair and slammed my lips against hers. I needed her. I needed her every single day since the day I stupidly walked away from her. I would never let her go again. For a few brief beautiful seconds, she kissed me back, but then she pushed me away.

“What the actual fuck, Liam?” She yelled at me and I winced.

Dumbstruck and unable to take my eyes off her, I heard Bas clear his throat as he entered the apartment and closed the door. Ashley walked out of her room and her eyes went wide.

“What the fuck?” Ashley didn’t look happy to see Bas. She actually looked entirely pissed off that he was there.

“We need you all to pack up a few bags, there is a situation and we need to take you to a safe house,” Bas said to Ashley.

“There is no way in hell I’m going anywhere with you,” Ashley said, shaking her head, and Hannah stood next to her as she glared at me.

“Derek worked for Salvatore Agosti. If he doesn't complete his job, Salvatore is going to come for you. Derek isn’t going to complete his job, which means you are in danger. We are taking you all out of here to safe houses,” I said to both women.

Ashley bit her lip and looked at Hannah in concern, but Hannah shook her head, “Absolutely not.”

“It’s not up for discussion, beautiful. You are Salvatore’s main target and I’m not letting him anywhere near you. You’ll be with me.” I walked off towards her bedroom to let Bas explain the rest to Ashley and Aston who had just walked out of his room.

“Liam, I am not staying with you. If I need a safe house, I’ll go to my father's house and work from home. Declan will understand why.” Hannah followed me.

Opening her closet and grabbing out the suitcases and bags, I tossed them on her bed to open them. Hearing Ashley yelling out in the living room, Bas wasn’t having much luck with her either. These two women were incredibly stubborn. I turned back to Hannah’s closet and saw the hoodie she stole from me the night we went stargazing and I grinned as I grabbed it and threw it into one of the suitcases.

“You think Salvatore can’t find you at your father’s house? You really want to put Bill at risk of being harmed?” She blinked as I called her father by his first name.

“Then I’ll go to a hotel.” Hannah crossed her arms over her chest, but it didn’t hide the way her nipples were pebbled against the now worn fabric of my old t-shirt.

“I am not risking that! You will come with me even if I have to kidnap you myself!”
