“Who?” Declan asked.

“Hannah Meyer.” I grinned.

For a second all three brothers were silent as they looked at each other, then they started laughing before Damien said, “Finally decided to go after your woman?”

“Yes.”

“What if I told you you couldn’t have her?” Declan teased with a grin.

“I’d tell you that I have her or I pull the Teresi connection.” I leaned back on my chair with a raised eyebrow waiting for them to challenge me.

“Woah, Liam, don’t do something that could potentially harm all of us. Our families have been friends for generations. Trident King University, our businesses, everything is tied, and you don’t have the power to pull it all,” Darius huffed, but Declan put his hand up to his youngest brother, knowing full well I did have the power to sever ties.

“She’ll be put on the project. She was getting a promotion next week anyway,” Damien informed me.

“Are you sure you want her on this project? When she pulls it off, and the little genius will, she’ll be given job offers from every major tech company in the world.” Declan warned me and Damien nodded in agreement.

“Are you really saying you’d let her slip through your fingers?”

“Hell no! If she pulls this off, I’ll be preparing her to take over the CTO position when I become CEO,” Declan announced.

“Then what’s the problem? I would naturally go to the best tech company for this. You would obviously put your brightest on this. She pulls it off, and you have a new CTO. She has a dream job that she busted her ass for.”

“What’s the catch?” Damien asked, seeing right through me.

“I want weekly meetings, on-site work, and as much face time with her as possible.”

“Done. We’ll work through the numbers and put together a contract for Wednesday,” Declan agreed, and Darius shook his head.

“Never thought I’d see the day that Liam Teresi would lose his mind and do anything to win a woman,” Damien scoffed.

“I’ll remember you said that, Damien. When it happens to you, I’ll be the first to remind you,” I said with a laugh.

My goals were accomplished, and now Hannah’s were too. With my plan in motion, I had one week to find out everything I needed to remove Derek from Hannah’s life.

I’d have Bas contact Colin to run an article about the breakup with Bianca. I wanted it clear that we were no longer together. I’d been clear with every girlfriend I had in the last six years that I would never get married. The truth was, I would get married. It would only be to Hannah.

Bas: Bad news man, Derek Wright has been working with Salvatore Agosti. We can’t touch him right now.

Me: Salvatore isn’t a problem, the guy is about to lose everything anyway.

Derek went and aligned himself with our enemy, just so he could have protections against me. He has no clue that the end was near for Salvatore. Derek was a pawn and I'd find a way to use him against Salvatore as well.

Chapter 36

Hannah

I was freaking out. I had a meeting with Declan, the CTO of VanadiumWorks, this morning and I absolutely needed to look my best. There was only one reason I would be having a meeting with Declan and that was a promotion. HR would fire me if I were losing my job. If there was a project they wanted me on, my Senior Developer would handle that announcement. Which meant I was about to be promoted, but I wasn’t going to get my hopes up too much, just in case I was wrong.

“Aston!” I yelled and a few seconds later he came running into my bedroom and his frantic look quickly shifted into one of confusion when he noticed I was only in a bra and thong. I didn’t have time for modesty here.

“Which one?” I pointed to the two outfits I had laid out on my bed. A pencil skirt with a blouse and a gray sheath dress.

“Sweetie, just because I’m gay doesn’t mean I have any idea what you should wear. I’m a geek gay, not a fashion gay,” Aston complained.

“I would be asking Ashley but she isn’t here! You are all I have right now! Just pick one so I can keep my brain from spiraling out of control.”

“Fine, the dress.” Aston pointed to the dress on my bed.
