Scanning the club, like I typically did, I spotted a familiar man leaning against a wall and staring directly at Hannah. Derek Wright disappeared two years ago, leaving behind his younger brother and piece of shit father in Shermer. His apartment was packed hastily and vacated the day of the end of summer party that Bas and Rion tried throwing.

I had already figured out he was here in Pittsburgh and that he was stalking my woman again. The men I had watching Hannah had intercepted one of Derek’s creepy letters yesterday. It said, “Happy 21st, my love. See you soon.” There was no way in hell I’d let him anywhere near Hannah.

I hit Bas’ arm with the back of my hand and he looked over at me. I tipped my head towards Derek and Bas looked at him.

“What the fuck is he doing here?”

“Have the men take him to the office. We’ll deal with him before we fly out tomorrow,” I said, leaning back against the table.

I kept Derek in my peripheral as Bas pulled out his phone and texted a few of our men. Bas walked towards Derek, directing our men towards him before making his way to the restrooms. Two of our men grabbed Derek and escorted him out of the club.

Tomorrow I would give Derek the warning he should have gotten back in Shermer. Tonight, I was only interested in obtaining one thing, and that was Hannah. Bas made his way back over to me as I watched Hannah dancing with Ashley. When Tiesto’s remix of “I Don’t Care” by Icona Pop came on, Hannah looked at me and then ran over and pulled me back to the dance floor. Her grinding against me exasperated my personal situation but fuck the friction was so fucking good.

We kept dancing through several more songs and my mind kept going back to naked nights, desperate kisses, light layers of sweat, and her soft moans playing a song in my head. We were staring into each other’s eyes and all I wanted to do was drag her from here and reacquaint myself with her perfect body.

“Shots!” Archer yelled at us, breaking the trance, and we looked at him.

Hannah shook her head and then started walking away from me towards the table to take shots. I followed her, not wanting to let her out of my sight. Hannah looked up at me after taking her shot and when I looked down at her she flushed and turned away.

There were a million things we weren’t saying to each other. Things that needed to be said. Yet, everything that I wanted to say fell silent the moment that I went to open my mouth. Fuck, I needed her.

Ashley dragged Bas back to the dance floor and Archer and Rion followed to go find dance partners for themselves. That Chad guy was currently dancing with some girl. We were alone in the crowded club but still silent. She turned and walked towards the door. I watched her take her coat from coat check and had a stamp placed on her hand before she stepped outside.

Glancing at the dance floor, no one else noticed her leaving but me. Scraping my hand down my face, I knew that if I walked out that door, this night was likely to take a much different turn. Our agreement would change if I followed her. Closing my eyes for a second before they sprung back open and I moved towards the door. The doorman stamped on my hand and I stepped out onto the sidewalk. I looked around and spotted her leaning against the wall with her head leaning back and her eyes closed.

My feet pushed forward towards her and then I stood in front of her looking down at the woman I desperately needed. I wanted to kiss her, but held back. This had to be her decision, her move to make, because I wouldn’t break our agreement.

Hannah opened her eyes and I swore they sparkled when they met mine. She took a breath and then she was pulling me down to her and our lips crushed together. I was a goner. The world around us disappeared, and I picked her up by her thighs. She wrapped her legs around me as I pushed my body against hers, trapping her against the wall.

Our tongues caressed, our breathing sped up, my heart was crashing through my chest, and she was the only thing I was aware of. I was right where I’d wanted to be for the last year and a half. She was all I wanted right now, tomorrow, next month, next year, and forever.

Her hands were in my hair and I was gripping her ass with one hand while my other was on her back pulling her closer. Her lips were still soft, her mango and vanilla scent enveloped me, and she rolled her hips against me like she needed me as badly as I needed her.

“It’s about goddamn time,” Rion said and we broke apart to look at him, “You two have been driving us all nuts with your tension.”

I saw Ashley laughing with Bas’ arm around her shoulder, pulling her close, and Archer had some brunette on his arm who looked confused. Meanwhile, another brunette stood behind Rion. Hannah and I looked at each other and she was trying not to laugh.

“Call an ride share,” I demanded with a laugh to Rion, who started laughing and Hannah buried her face into my shoulder to hide her own laughter.

“I’m a little drunk,” Hannah whispered.

“Me too.”

I set her down on her feet and she looked up at me, “It’s my birthday.”

“Yes it is.”

“I think rules don’t apply on my birthday.”

I grinned at her and leaned down to whisper in her ear, “The rules definitely do not apply on your birthday.”

We had to take two cars back to our hotel for the night. Archer was the smart one who went to a store when we arrived yesterday and grabbed a few different bottles of liquor. When we got back to our hotel we went to Bas’ suite that was connected to mine and had a couple more rounds of drinks.

When Bas and Ashley started making out, we all vacated and I pulled Hannah into my suite and I locked the door behind me. When I turned, Hannah was looking at me like I was all she wanted.

“Are you positive about this?” I asked.

Hannah bit her lip and grinned at me, “Yes.”
