"He threatened me."

"One inch off from your femoral artery, he could have killed you."

“He didn't, and I told him he should have before I put a bullet between his eyes.”

It was the first time I really saw the darkness that lived in Hannah, and it sure as fuck did things to me. I wanted to bury myself in this beautiful, ruthless woman. My heart ached for the innocence she had lost, yet I couldn't help but be in awe of the strength she discovered and held onto.

My eyes caught on something in the tattoo. A script font, one word that changed the entire meaning of the tattoo. “Unfinished.” She covered the worst moment in her life with my promise. I looked up into her eyes and she smiled softly at me. I kissed that word softly. I would fulfill this promise I made to her and finish our story; with us together for the rest of our lives.

She watched me as I rose. Pulling her in for a deep kiss, I pushed my hand into her hair and angled her head to deepen our kiss. She placed her hands on my bare waist and I shivered at the feel of her touch. Picking her up from the stool she sat on, she wrapped her legs around me again.

“You need more orgasms,” I whispered as I carried her back to the bedroom where I planned on fucking her repeatedly for the rest of the night.

Chapter 48

Hannah

I was being shaken softly and I groaned and swatted at whoever was waking me. My body was deliciously sore, but when I went to roll I felt there was someone behind me gripping me tight and breathing softly in my hair. So, who was in front of me?

I cracked my eyes open and Ashley was crouched in front of me with a grin on her face, “You are in a man’s bed.”

“What are you doing here?” I whispered.

“What are you doing in here?” Bas’s voice boomed and I gasped.

“What the fuck is going on?” Liam jolted awake as I gripped the sheet to cover my nakedness. Ashley scowled at Bas in the doorway and I pinched my eyebrows together at her. I knew things hadn’t ended well between them after Liam and I stopped talking, but I didn’t think she still had issues with him.

“Did you two makeup?” Bas chuckled.

“Get out!” Liam yelled and Bas laughed loudly as Ashley got up and followed him out.

Once the door closed, Liam grabbed me and pulled me back down to lay down, and I rolled over to face him, “We have the weirdest family.”

“Yes we do.” He kissed me softly.

“What are they doing here?”

“Bas was supposed to come here with an update on Salvatore. I forgot to set an alarm last night because you kept me busy.”

“Don’t blame me.”

“You and your perfect body distracted me and challenged me to pull every single orgasm from you.”

An aftershock of pleasure rolled through me remembering all the ways Liam made me come last night, “Mmm, okay, it was my fault.”

A knock on the door and Bas’ voice boomed, “Come on you two, we have things to discuss.”

“Fuck off!” Liam yelled back. Bas chuckled as his footsteps could be heard walking back down the hallway.

We got out of bed and Liam handed me the t-shirt I wore last night during our mid-sex break. Sliding it over my head, I used the bathroom quickly, noting his en suite was even bigger than my own with a larger shower that had two shower heads and a bench.

Leaving the bathroom, I told him, “I’ll be out in a minute, I’m going to grab some shorts and brush my hair and teeth.”

Liam nodded, “We are moving your stuff in here today.”

He didn’t give me a chance to argue if I wanted to as he walked into his bathroom. I didn’t lie last night when I agreed to be his, but it had been six years and a lot of hurt between the two of us. There was a part of myself begging me to be cautious about this.

A larger part of me wanted to believe that this was it. I never stopped loving Liam and I wanted to forgive him for everything. Part of our problems stemmed from my inability to commit to him but the betrayal of him not telling me about things that directly affected me hurt. It broke my trust in him when I found out he’d been hiding a hell of a lot from me.
