“Boss,” he answers.
“I need you to find Jade and put a detail on her.” He doesn’t question why, but immediately, I hear him tapping away at his computer.
“What information do I need to know?” Gods love him and his military nonsense attitude.
“She’s the model, Phillip.” The typing stops, and a moment of silence passes before he answers.
“Understood.” Jeffery would have briefed him this morning, so I don’t need to go into much detail.
“Phil,” I hesitate, trying to figure out how to word what I want to say.
“She’s family, Ciarán. No harm will come to her.” I sigh.
“Thank you. She has no idea what’s coming I’d like to tell her myself. Can you text me her location when you have it?” He agrees and hangs up, leaving me staring at a photo of her on the from page of the fucking Sun.
Fuck she’s gorgeous.
“There you are!” I look up at Da and notice his red face.
“I can explain,” I start, but he raises his hand.
“No, I don’t want an explanation. I want to congratulate you. You’re a bloody fool to throw this much exposure at her.” I sigh and pinch the bridge of my nose.
“It was an accident,” I confess, and he laughs.
Great big belly ones that make his face redder and tears stream down his face.
“Right, that would be just your luck. Make your little sister who’s a hermit the face of the biggest cosmetic release this century. Christ Son.” He clears his throat and places his hands on his hips.
“Thanks, Da,” I retort cause I can’t argue a damn word.
“Where is she then?” I shrug my shoulders.
“I have Phillip tracking her.” He lifts an eyebrow at me.
“She’s upset at me.” I see him fighting another laughing fit at that.
“Find her, apologize.” What?
“For what!” I stand filled with righteous indignation I have no right feeling.
“Son, let me give you a little advice when it comes to women.” My eyes brow bunch in confusion.
“They are never wrong. Whatever you did, apologize. Make this right, and all your hard work for this launch will go up in smoke. You need her.” He reaches over and pats my shoulder.
“I’m not sure how to fix this.” It’s as honest as I can be without him being suspicious.
“How bad could it be.” He throws it over his shoulder, but I hear him laughing while he walks down the hallway, making me wonder…
How much does he already know?
Chapter Six
Jade
“Anton, no! I need to get home.” I shake my head as he pulls my hand harder.
“Jade, no one is going to recognize you in that.” He waves at my cutoff shorts and shirt.
