The thought startled him. OK, she’d made it very clear she wasn’t looking for a relationship, but they never discussed sex. Did she mean no sex either? He was fine with a no strings thing. That worked perfectly for him. But no sex? The sexting was amazing, but he wanted her in his bed. He wanted to act out all those sexting fantasies.

His cock deflated at the thought she might not want the same. Hell, as good as the sexting was, he couldn’t do that alone forever. Since that kiss, he hadn’t looked at another woman. His sex life had become a cellphone and his hand. Jesus, he’d never gone this long without having sex. Maybe they needed to have a conversation, be honest and open about what they wanted. He liked her. A lot. Respected her. But they worked together. Perhaps Mira had been right in the beginning when she said it wasn’t a good idea. But damn he wasn’t ready to give her up yet. He loved chatting with her. Not just the sexy stuff, they chatted about a lot of things. Mira was easy to talk to, understood what he did, and he liked being able to talk about missions with her.

Damn, they needed to work this out. She was becoming seriously addictive. He couldn't get her out of his mind. That unnerved him but he liked it, and he didn’t want to do anything to jeopardize it.

Chapter 2

Raven filtered into the Farm around noon the next day. Sam stood at the head of the debrief table, and Kelly sat next to him as the team got seated. Mira was on video link from the intel office on the other side of the building. Wasting no time, they got into the after-action reports and reviewed the op.

Tyler tried his best to stay focused on the debrief, but Mira’s beautiful face was proving to be a big distraction. Not the first time either. His thoughts strayed to last night. They’d sexted for over an hour. The images in his head had Mira looking very different from what she did now. Open mouthed, eyes closed, lost in... Fuck, it had blown his mind. And his cock, which took the opportunity to remind him.

“Tyler, anything to add?” Sam asked. Tyler shifted in his seat, bringing his attention back to the present.

“No. That just about covers it.”

“Good. Well I think we’re about done then. Mira, anything else you need from these guys to wrap up your end?”

“I think I’m good. I have all the op reports, except...Steve. If you can get that one over, I’ll get them filed.” She smiled at the team, her beautiful face filling the screen. Sam glanced at Steve, eyebrows raised.

“It’s done. Must have forget to hit send. I’ll do it now, Mira. Sorry.” Steve apologized.

“If you want to come over here and kick his ass, feel free.” Dex grinned, mindlessly tossing his prized baseball in the air, a keepsake from his late father.

“Don’t tempt me.” Mira winked. “But I got my hands full over here.”

“I bet. You must have those juniors eating out of your hand,” Donnie teased, referring to the young research officers that made up the rest of the intel team and happened to be all male.

The thought of anyone eating out of Mira’s hand riled Tyler. He looked away, scowling.

“Let’s just say I get brought my fair share of coffees throughout the day.”

The boys chuckled. Tyler snapped his head to the screen to see Mira’s smile fade. The guys quieted, looking at him questioningly. Fuck, that was all he needed.

“So, Nyx got put in play while we were gone?” Tyler glanced at Sam, wanting to change the subject and get the attention off him.

“Yes. I don’t like having both teams out at once, but this couldn’t wait.”
