She shakes her head. With a confident move, Merida adjusts the blanket over her shoulder and removes her T-shirt, and a few expletives slip out of my mouth at the sight before me.

Her tits are covered in the sexiest lingerie that has ever been created. The baby blue netting covers her soft milky skin, while a satin bow rests on top of her nipples. There’s a thin silk belt replacing the underwire before the see-through fabric billows like a curtain and reaches her navel.

But instead of talking about her pernicious lingerie, which should come with its own hazard warning, possibly something along the lines of Beware, men, you might lose your mind, Mere asks, “So, I’m the love of your life. Is that it?” She moves over my dick, which is now hard enough to cut diamonds.

Before me, she’s all feminine power and delicacy mixed into a potent concoction that could ruin any man.

“You are my life. If I haven’t made it clear until now, then I’m definitely doing a shitty job.” In an instant, I have her out of my lap and onto the cozy blankets.

She doesn’t gasp or look surprised. She knows the power she has over me in this moment, or perhaps always.

My knees hit the wooden floor, and I pull down her pajama bottoms, revealing the matching panties that show more than they hide—a perfect cocktease. “Please tell me you never wore this for any other man.”

It’s not a desire but a need when I grab her waist and flip her around. Her long, slender back is bare, albeit the two satin straps tied in the middle, holding that scrap that barely covers her tits. Her crimson hair draped on one side of her shoulders is such a striking contrast to the soft blue lingerie. Her ass cheeks are gloriously naked, with a G-string running along the crack. I mold her soft flesh before my hands crawl up, tracing her soft skin and reaching for her long, delicate neck. I knead the knots on her shoulders, and she lets out a low moan.

“You didn’t answer me, mittens.”

“Do you really want to talk about other men right now?” She looks at me over her shoulder, her blue eyes blazing with intensity.

“I want to be the only man on your mind all the time.” When I loosen my grip, she turns once again. As much as I’m salivating over her sexy body on display, it’s her face that makes my heart lurch.

“You’ve been the only man on my mind for forever, Carter.” Her eyes don’t leave mine as her usual shyness peeks behind her eyelids. “Birdie gifted me this as a welcome home present. I don’t think I’ll ever have the courage to buy something this bold. So, does this make you…go crazy?”

“You make me go crazy, mittens. This lingerie is just the cherry on the cake. But be ready, your man has a very sweet tooth, and he can’t wait to devour you.” And to prove that, I place a kiss on her instep before gliding my lips forward to her purple-painted toes. “Starting from here.”

MERIDA

“Wow! Are we staying here?” My eyes scan the opulent interior of the hotel, where guests are embraced by timeless luxury. The grand lobby boasts a soaring ceiling adorned in intricate gold leaf work that seems to reach the heavens. A crystal chandelier hangs like a celestial constellation, casting a warm, golden glow upon the marble floors below. Elegant seating areas are scattered throughout, featuring red velvet armchairs and ornate coffee tables. I’m tempted to sink into the plush furnishings and admire the museum-quality artwork, including rich tapestries and oil paintings on the walls.

I’ve stayed in my fair share of decent hotels, but this surpasses anything I’ve ever experienced. If I hadn’t seen Buckingham Palace on our way here, Carter could have easily fooled me.

He chuckles, guiding me toward the elevator, but my gaze keeps drifting back to the window overlooking the courtyard garden with cobblestone pathways and an al fresco bar.

Once the elevator doors close, I turn to Carter. “This must be so freaking expensive.”

“Don’t you know that your boyfriend is so freaking rich?”

“I’m serious!”

“And you think I’m not?” His eyebrows lift, but the grin lingers on his lips. He wraps his arms around my waist, drawing me closer. “This is just the beginning, mittens. I want to show you the world.”

My mind buzzes with possibilities as we step out of the elevator. Carter unlocks the door to our room, and I manage to stifle my squeal just for a moment before succumbing to excitement, jumping up and down as if springs are beneath my feet. Lavish silk drapes frame the windows, and natural light bathes the room’s soft color palette.

“Let’s sleep in for a while, and then I’ll take you to see your surprise.”

“Another surprise? Seriously? Have you turned into my fairy godmother, appearing after all these years?”

Carter grins. “No, I’m your prince, and I’ll make sure no fairy godmother comes near, trying to find you a better one.”

My heart swells with joy, threatening to burst at the seams. Is it even possible to die because your heart can’t contain all your happiness? God, what a shitty way to go!

“What has you thinking so hard?” Carter traces a finger over the creases on my forehead, drawing my attention to them, and I hastily shake my head.

“Nothing. Tell me about the surprise.”

“How about I show you instead?” His smile is infectious.
