“I got you,” Jaytee said when he pulled his canines free. He licked at where he’d bitten Raidh then added, “Dance through the Milky Way with me.”
He thrust hard and deep, making Raidh scream from the sheer ecstasy.
Jaytee’s moves faltered. He buried himself deep, his arms curling around Raidh as his mate’s cock pulsed deep inside his ass. Jaytee slammed his mouth over Raidh’s, devouring him as his hips jerked wildly, as if making sure every drop of his seed spilled into Raidh.
“I can’t move,” Jaytee groaned as he collapsed on top of Raidh. “You wiped me out.”
Raidh laughed as he shoved Jaytee off him. The guy was too massive with muscles and weighed a ton. “It would be truly messed up if you crushed and killed me after I had the best, most amazing sex of my life.”
“But what a way to go.” Jaytee rolled to his side, pulling Raidh so close that he was dang near under the man. He nuzzled Raidh’s neck, kissing the area where he’d bitten him.
He smiled at his mate. “You were the cutest puppy.”
When Jaytee didn’t say anything, Raidh looked up at him, and he saw a painful expression in his mate’s eyes.
“Baby, I’m so sorry you suffered so much.”
Raidh glanced away, ashamed Jaytee had seen the worst parts of his life. He was embarrassed of the humiliating experiences he had endured.
“Don’t.” Jaytee slid his fingers under Raidh’s chin and lifted it to meet his gaze. “You have a beautiful soul, and your family should be ashamed for treating you the way they have.” He smiled. “You really are good at magic. I saw some amazing things you did when you were practicing alone.”
“That was when I was still learning,” Raidh confessed.
Jaytee pressed a gentle kiss to his forehead.
Raidh frowned. “Why do I hear Elvine throwing a tizzy somewhere in the house?”
“Because Elvine is throwing a damn tizzy.” Jaytee pulled them to their feet. “Let’s go see what in the hell is going on.”
Why was she there? And how many ways could Raidh kill her for interrupting such a special moment?
Chapter Nine
Relaxing on the back porch, Jax sniffed the air, smelling the mouth-watering aroma of tacos his dad was currently cooking in the kitchen. He could hear the meat sizzling and the clatter of pots and pans, along with his dad’s whistling. Kalen always got down when he cooked. It was a wonder none of them weighed a ton.
But there was also a strange, unfamiliar scent mixed in, one that didn’t belong, which raised his hackles.
Since Jax knew Raidh’s father wanted his son dead, which was fucked up on an epic scale, but it was entirely possible Galamir had sent more than just vampires after his son.
Muscles tense, he pushed from his chair and curled his fingers around the wooden railing, taking another, deeper whiff.
Snarling low in his throat, he followed the scent to the side of the house where the trash cans were stored. The moon illuminated a tiny figure standing on an overturned crate, peeping into the living room window.
With lightning speed, Jax grabbed a fistful of the stranger’s long blue hair and yanked them away from the window.
“Ow! What the oatmeal!” the person cried out, struggling against Jax’s grip.
“What the hell are you doing?” he snarled. Size or gender didn’t faze him when it came to the safety of his family.
Raidh was tiny as well, but that didn’t mean short, petite people couldn’t be a threat.
The stranger twisted and squirmed, causing her blue tresses to slip through his fingers before she suddenly launched herself toward the sky on a set of small gossamer wings, glittering in an array of colorful hues.
Jax’s jaw dropped.
Although Raidh was undeniably breathtaking, Jax liked his eyeballs right where they were. Jaytee would rip them out if his brother caught him checking out the stunning fairy.
His brother was fiercely protective of his mate, as he should be.
