With his feet planted firmly on either side of Jaytee’s hips, Raidh pressed his hands against his mate’s solid, muscular chest before beginning to bounce up and down, taking in every inch of his mate’s cock.

As the intensity grew, his wings shot out and fluttered wildly behind him.

“You’re so incredibly beautiful,” Jaytee breathed as he grabbed the back of Raidh’s neck and pulled him down for a toe-curling kiss.

With one hand curled around Raidh’s waist and the other holding him steady, Jaytee thrust upward with such force it almost knocked Raidh off, but his mate’s firm grip prevented him from falling.

Raidh’s heart pounded furiously, the sound echoing loudly in his ears as he felt Jaytee’s canines lengthen during their kiss. How had he forgotten about the crucial step of biting necessary to bind their souls?

Pulling away from Jaytee, he trembled as he stared at his mate’s long, sharp teeth. He met Jaytee’s gaze and saw the desire to bite him, but it was evident his mate was holding back.

Although Raidh desperately wanted their souls bound, the memory of the vampire attack was still too vivid in his mind. The thought of being pierced by any teeth filled him with fear and anxiety.

But Raidh didn’t want the vampire to win, didn’t want fear to overshadow the fact that Jaytee had constantly been there for him. His mate had fought to save his life when the vampire had nearly taken it.

Jaytee had given Raidh the one thing he’d craved the most. A loving and caring family. He’d effortlessly made Raidh a part of his family, whereas Raidh’s own had rejected him at every turn.

No one would do all that unless they truly cared. And Jaytee had cared from the very beginning.

Their lovemaking came to a halt as they both stopped moving.

“Let me replace that bad memory with a good one, sweetheart.” Jaytee slid his knuckles down Raidh’s cheek.

More than anything Raidh wanted that, but he was scared. “I’m afraid, Jaytee. I can still feel those fangs sinking into me.”

Jaytee placed his palms against Raidh’s cheeks, his hands warm and solid against his skin. “I’m so sorry that happened, Moonbeam. I’m sorry I failed to protect you.”

“No.” Raidh shook his head. “I told you it wasn’t your fault.”

But he could see the guilt in Jaytee’s eyes as he tenderly brushed his thumbs over Raidh’s skin. “I nearly lost you, a gentle reminder of the beauty in this world. Every time I look at you, I feel a flutter winding through my chest, like a moonbeam dancing through the Milky Way. You bring a light into my life that I never knew I needed.”

Raidh’s gasp filled the air, his eyes widening in surprise as he looked down at his mate. The wolf was amazing on so many different levels that Raidh was already falling in love with him.

“Nailed it better than a carpenter.” Raidh repeated Damon’s words from the morning they’d met outside the café.

Jaytee chuckled. “Just speaking the truth, sweetheart.”

After taking a deep breath, Raidh nodded. He closed his eyes briefly, bracing himself for the pain and the bad memory to flood him. Bu when he opened his eyes, he was astonished to see the genuine tenderness on Jaytee’s face.

“Will you trust me?” his mate asked.

With tears welling up in his eyes and a lump forming in his throat, Raidh buried his face in Jaytee’s neck. “Yes.”

His mate’s hand slid up Raidh’s back, his fingers wrapping around Raidh’s nape to turn his head slightly. Then he began to play with the points of Raidh’s ears.

“Oh, god,” Raidh moaned. “I-I warned you what that would do to me.” His eyes rolled to the back of his head.

“Damn, baby. I can feel your muscles tightening around my cock even more,” Jaytee groaned. “Are you lost in pleasure?”

“Yes,” Raidh hissed as his eyes fluttered close.

Sharp canines sank into his shoulder. Raidh cried out. He thought the bite would be painful, and it was to a point, but his pleasure skyrocketed to a level he never knew existed. He felt as if his very soul crashed into Jaytee’s as his orgasm shattered him into a thousand shards.

Raidh gasped as he felt his life ribbon rise up then race alongside Jaytee’s. He could see his mate’s life in a flash, everything the wolf shifter had experienced, making Raidh feel as if he’d known Jaytee since forever. Then the ribbons intertwined before Jaytee’s slammed into Raidh and vice versa, their heart beats synchronized, their bonding complete and unbreakable.

Jaytee growled and flipped them, putting Raidh on his back as he pistoned inside him. Raidh clung to Jaytee, terrified of the way his body had exploded. The feeling was too overwhelming, as if he were free-falling.

“Jaytee!”
