Wolves were the most sheltered race, and they didn’t take too well to outsiders. It was nice to see them growing, but there were always those few who didn’t like change, and I heard a few of them say mean things about Max. I couldn’t help but look around seeing a few older wolves making those comments.

“Don’t,” Soren said, before I could get a comment out.

“They will never grow,” he said, staring at those wolves who looked our way with a sneer. “They are stuck in the old ways and will stay like that until they die.”

One of them growled at us and I smiled.

“You have a problem, Bertan?” Wyman growled.

Ryder spotted the men in question immediately and I smiled with smug satisfaction.

“No, Alpha,” he murmured, lowering his eyes.

“Anyone have a problem?” Ryder snapped. “Soren, Gray and Max are my bonded mates. Anyone has a problem with them, you have a problem with me.”

Ryder could easily be an Alpha. Even I could sense his power, and I was surprised when most of the pack looked down.

“Thank you,” he said, turning around to help Oria get food.

The chatter resumed immediately, grateful that a fight didn’t break out. After the Alpha family got their food everyone else got in line.

Oria sat close to me again, Ryder slid next to her, and she looked up waiting for Max. Once he sat down, they waited for Oria to start eating before they dug in. Soren and I kept watch as they ate. We ran the perimeter earlier to make sure we weren’t followed, but we couldn’t be too careful.

“This is delicious,” Oria said, looking up at each of us.

That's one thing I loved about her, she never left one of us out. While she sat with me now, in a little bit she would sit with Max and Soren. I wasn’t sure how this was going to work out, but I couldn’t see our family any other way.

“I feel weird when we eat, and you guys don’t.” Oria brought my attention back to the table.

“You could feed me,” I purred, kissing her cheek, traveling down her neck, to the part where her pulse was the strongest.

“It’s been a while,” she said, her voice growing husky.

“Now that you mention it, it has been,” I said, wondering why that was.

“I have a theory that her blood is more potent,” Soren said, following my line of thinking.

“Or it might be because she is your mate,” Max said, in between bites.

“It could also be—” Oria trailed off looking around. “Cause, you know.”

I chuckled when she raised her eyebrows.

“I think you need to explain when we’re alone, Blondie,” Soren said, getting a blush from her.

“I prefer an audience,” she quipped back.

The heat in her gaze had every one of us ready to pounce. I scooched closer to her until my lips were against her ear.

“You want your mates to watch as I fuck you?” I whispered, as she shivered against me. “You want each of us to take you one by one so the rest of us can watch you come over and over again?”

“Yes, or maybe two at a time,” she whimpered.

“You smell so good, Sunshine.” I bit her ear, and she gasped.

“Gray,” Ryder snapped. “Not in the middle of dinner with an audience.”

“She started it,” I chuckled, seeing her shocked face.
