The pull of the bond yanked me from my thoughts yet again. It was loud and having her pressed up against me didn’t do anything for my abstinence. She called to me on a primal level, and it took everything I had in me not to roll her onto her back and wake her up with my mouth in between her legs.

“You ok?” Oria’s sleepy voice pulled me from my fantasy.

“Perfect,” I said, holding her close.

“It doesn’t feel like you are ok,” she said, running her hand up and down my chest and the valleys of my abs.

“I’m angry we lost all of that time,” I said, expressing my earlier anger instead of my sexual thoughts.

“At least we found each other, right?” She looked up at me.

It amazed me how she was always looking on the bright side. She had been the one who thought the glass was half-full instead of empty.

“It’s not enough. I don’t think any amount of time will be enough, Sol,” I said, kissing her forehead. “They need to pay for what they stole from us. All the memories, the laughter, the kisses and our time in the sun.”

“I get that, I do, but would I have found my other mates if this had never happened?” Her hazel eyes stared into my blue one.

As much as I hated how we had gotten here, she was right.

“I don’t think you would have met them, but the gods and goddesses work in mysterious ways,” I said, pushing a strand of blonde hair out of her eyes. “I’d like to think they would have made their way to us, but you're right, we are where we are supposed to be.”

She tilted her head up and I couldn’t resist her if I tried. I captured her lips in what was supposed to be a small kiss, except the bond flared to life the moment our lips touched. She moaned and it was so sexy I was instantly hard. I opened her mouth with my tongue, exploring her. She straddled my hips; I sat up as we continued kissing. She rolled her hips over my hardness and pleasure ripped through me.

I growled, deepening the kiss, the frantic need to have her was clawing at me and at that moment waiting to mate her sounded stupid.

“Maxton,” she groaned, as I kissed down her neck, sucking her skin at the base of her neck.

She whimpered, rolling her hips against my hardness again and I snapped. I rolled us over, pinning her hands over head and thrust against her.

“Max, stop,” she whimpered.

I quickly got off of her, worried I had pushed her too far.

Oria’s eyes were wide, her hair was mussed up and those lips were swollen from our kiss. My chest ached with how beautiful she was.

“I’m so sorry, Sol,” I said, feeling awful.

“I didn’t stop for me, Max, I stopped for you,” she said, looking away as she took a deep breath. “I know you said you wanted to wait. I just wanted to stop before we went any further.”

Oria wouldn’t look at me, making me think I had done something wrong. I tilted her face to me. Her face was flushed, and she squirmed on the bed, hitting me with her delicious scent. I shivered, the bond pushing me to go to her.

The whine that came out of her was the last straw. I pushed her onto her back. “I need you, Sol, like I need oxygen and sustenance. I have waited long enough and as much as I want to show you that I love you for you, my body and soul need you.”

I kissed her roughly, pressing her into the bed with my hips. I laid my forearms on either side of her head, kissing her with everything I had to show her she was mine. She ran her hand through my hair tugging on the strands lightly.

“Tell me it's ok, tell me you want this, Sol.” I kissed her jaw, trailing kisses down her neck, preparing to remove myself in case she didn’t want this anymore.

“I don’t want to be apart anymore, I can’t wait another second,” she sighed, when I gently bit her. “How… how do we do it?”

I pulled away, raising my eyebrow as her cheeks got pink.

“If you're asking that now, then your mates have done a terrible job at making you theirs,” I chuckled.

“I heard that!” one of the twins yelled from downstairs.

Oria laughed. “I mean, are you going to bite me or how do I become your mate?”

“It’s usually during a mating ceremony, and it’s sealed with being intimate,” I said, kissing her forehead, rocking against her.
