“I’ll come all the time,” Jax laughs, rubbing his stomach.
"Don’t encourage him, Alice. You’ll never get rid of him,” Beast chuckles.
“Let’s get down to some things that need to be said. First, Bolt is a total asshole. How he became President at this minute I don’t know. It’s beyond belief that he asked Sacks or any of the others to do something so fuckin’ stupid as to cheat on their old lady. Now, I don’t blame you for wanting nothin’ to do with Sacks, or the club. But we are not all idiots. I would have dealt with this problem far better than Bolt has.” Beast is growling some of his comments.
“Why is Melody running around town?” I can’t help but ask.
“She’s not. She’s in a room locked in,” Jax replies.
“No, she’s not. She was outside my place of work when I left around four pm. Look…” I grab my phone from the counter and find the photograph I took, handing the phone to Beast when he holds his hand out for it. “That’s the photograph I took when I left work. She was cuddled up with that guy. He had on a cut too, but it wasn’t the same logo as you have.”
Jax takes my phone, checks the photograph, and then looks at Beast. He sends the photograph to himself as he speaks. “We need to get back to the clubhouse and find out what the fuck’s going on.”
“I’ll speak to you again before I leave town, Alice. Thank you again for the lovely meal, and sorry to dash away like this. Now lock the door before we leave.” Beast kisses my forehead, passes me to Jax like it’s a regular thing, and he kisses my forehead. Once they are both outside, I lock the door and watch them through the peephole as they go to their bikes.
I can’t help thinking that I’d love to be a fly on the wall when they know Melody had broken out!
Chapter 8
Jax
Walking into the clubhouse behind Beast, I can feel his rage at the incompetence this chapter is showing. I had warned him twice previously that the brothers were not taking things seriously enough, and Bolt was having issues getting them under control.
Now, Bolt is a great president, and he runs a good club, but he needs to stop being so friendly with the brothers. I know the respect for Bolt needs to be better, but only he can do it. I’m mentally rubbing my hands together because I can’t wait to see what’s going to happen now.
Walking through the common room, I cringe when I see how many are being sucked off, or fucking. It’s nothing more than an orgy, and if I was running the chapter, all this would be stopped.
Keeping close behind Beast, I smirk as he kicks the office door open, and heads right to the desk where Bolt is working. Now it’s late at night and you can’t help but admire Bolt for sticking to work at this time when everyone else is having some fun.
“Look at this. Now, just mind that it was taken at four this afternoon.” Beast throws his phone in front of Bolt, showing the photograph that I’d sent him of Melody and Sting.
Bolt looks at the phone, looks at Beast, then back at the phone. Standing slowly from his seat, he gives an almighty roar, “GUNNER, LETHAL!”
The door, which is now hanging on by the top hinge, is pushed aside as the two brothers storm into the office. “What’s wrong?” Gunner asks, and Lethal is looking around the office for anything out of place.
“How the fuck has Melody gotten out of the room she’s supposed to be locked in?” Bolt asks through gritted teeth.
“What…The…Fuck!” Gunner snarls, and after showing the phone to Lethal, turns storming out of the office. Now, because I’m naturally nosey, I follow behind to watch the shitshow that is about to happen.
The prospect on door duty is leaning against the wall looking bored out of his skull, but he’s not sitting as you’d expect when you are going to be around for hours.
“Who’s been in or out?” Lethal asks the prospect.
“I’ve only been here an hour and nobody has been in or out while I’ve been here.”
“Why are you standing when you have to stand here for six hours?” Gunner asks.
“Well, if I sit, I’ll get bored and might fall asleep. If I stand there is no chance of that happening. This is my job, my watch, and I’m not going to let the Prez down when he gave me something to do.”
“Good, that’s a great idea.” Lethal opens the door to the room and steps inside, with Gunner and me behind him.
“How the fuck did you get out of this room? What the fuck were you telling Sting, you know, your old man!”
I grin because Melody looks so shocked her eyes are huge, and the color in her face visibly drains. Now I’m a bad fucker for sure because I’m finding this highly amusing.
Sacks storms into the room, giving all three of us a foul look. “What’s going on?”
“This bitch has been out of the room, contacted Sting, and then came back. Seems our little baby momma is a fuckin’ traitor to the club,” leaning into Melody so she has to lean back on the bed where she’s sitting, Lethal continues, “We all know what happens to traitors, and I don’t give a fuck she has a baby in her belly.”
