“I know.” I cuddle into him for a bit until I can feel him sliding out of me, then I stand up and put my robe back on. He gets dressed then he takes my hand and we go to bed. It’s nice having him in my bed, he spoons me and pulls me tight wrapping his arms around me.

“So, we’re going to my house tomorrow, yeah?” he asks as his breath brushes past my ear.

“Yeah, but I have to make a stop on the way, so we should take both cars.”

“Where are you going to go? The doctors? I’ll come with you.”

“No, I need to go and see Cassie and find out why she said what she did. She could have ruined all of this.” I hold my hand out and waft it between us.

“Don’t be too harsh on her, she must have had her reasons.”

“I know but, even when she found out I was having your baby, she still didn’t tell me. I just need to know why my best friend did that. It’s so out of character with her.”

“If you’re sure, Say.”

“I am. I need to know why my best friend of many years betrayed me.”
