Not like this.

His eyes followed the roll of her throat as she tried to swallow ...

Heat erupted from her center and filled up every nook and cranny of her body. The flicker at her center grew stronger. More demanding. More distracting. But, she still had her wits. Some of them anyway, and she shook her head. “No. Do you think I’m better than you?”

Something strange flashed in his eyes, but it was gone a second later as he growled and crushed his mouth against hers.

She managed to worm her arms between them, and for the third time that morning, she placed her hands on his pecs and shoved him away.

Their chests heaved as they stared at each other. Her body was a maelstrom of conflicting sensations. Her brain was short-circuiting because it didn’t know what to feel or how to respond. A fire roared deep in her belly, drowning out the thoughts that told her this was a bad idea.

She wanted this.

Wanted him, of course.

But she knew she shouldn’t.

Knew it was a bad idea, and yet … the choice seemed perfectly clear.

She was drawn to Aiden Lassiter like a moth to a flame, a mouse to a chunk of cheese in a trap. Aiden was dangerous. He was broken. But that didn’t stop the searing desire that threatened to burn her from the inside out. The unbridled need that consumed her, or the powerful desire to feel his lips on hers again and go back to that night at the hotel where they were just Luna and Caden and nothing else mattered.

As if drawn by an invisible force, he rushed her, she rushed him and leaped up onto his hips just in time for him to slam her back into the wall, as his mouth continued its siege on hers and his towel finally gave up the fight and fell to the floor.

So much for them leaving each other alone.

Chapter Nine

Just like that night at the hotel, they were all hands, teeth and lips as they crashed around her sister’s apartment, grappling at each other. Each of them trying to climb deeper inside the other, get more skin-to-skin, more lips to flesh. More everything.

It was a battle of wills.

A challenge.

A duel.

Who would come to their senses first and stop this?

Stop it before it went too far.

Before they reached the point of no return.

It wouldn’t be her.

He was already naked, and his hot length prodded her thigh as he spun them around and into the kitchen, plunking her ass on the island—and not gently.

Everything about the way Aiden moved was rough, gruff, and possessive.

And she was here for it.

She’d never let another person manhandle her like this before, not after Russell, anyway, and yet with Aiden, she was okay with it. She relished it. She invited more of it. She wanted to see bruises tomorrow from how tightly he gripped her hips, wanted to see his bite marks on her neck and across her shoulders and collarbone.

It got her heart racing. Her juices flowing

The savage, desperate need in his eyes turned those sparks of heat inside her into licking flames.

He pulled away from her just enough to finish sliding the sleeves of her cardigan off her arms, then he reached for the hem of her tank top and ripped it off, tossing it somewhere behind him. His eyes took in her bare breasts. Her nipples were so puckered, she could have sworn she felt them throbbing, swelling under his scrutiny, and begging for his mouth.

Just his eyes on her, devouring her with such blatant desire, had her pussy pulsing, and another trickle of arousal filled the already apparent puddle in her underwear.
