“What?!” Leilani laughed, shaking her head. “I can’t remember the last time I slept in anywhere near this late.”

“I take it you slept well then?”

“Best I’ve slept in a long time.”

“Clearly a screaming orgasm from my tongue in your sweet little ass is what you need every night,” Adaze couldn’t help teasing Leilani. She chuckled to herself as Leilani went bright red and looked down endearingly.

Adaze closed the space between them and reached for her chin to tilt it upwards so she could kiss her. Leilani let out a little whimper that Adaze enjoyed.

“I’m glad you slept well; I did too,” Adaze motioned to the counter. “I’ve got breakfast.”

“I can see that,” Leilani said, grabbing a bagel and cup of coffee. “Unfortunately, I can’t stay too long.”

“Oh, why not?”

Did I go too far? Have I upset her?

“I’ve got to get home and feed Jaspurr. I wasn’t expecting to be gone overnight.”

Adaze felt defensiveness rising in her chest. “If it was a problem?—”

“Oh no! I was glad you asked me to stay, but it was a surprise. A really, really good surprise.”

“Good, well, you might as well eat up before you go.”

Adaze didn’t say much after that; it was hard to think of anything to say when she knew Leilani was about to be walking out the door any second. Then suddenly it was time.

Leilani stood up and walked around the table to stand beside her. Then she leaned in and pressed their lips together.

Adaze would have expected for it to feel less intense than it did the night before, but it still felt like air was entering her lungs after holding her breath for too long. Kissing Leilani was something she hadn’t known how much she needed.

Leilani pulled away leaving her to chase after her.

She just smiled. “I had a really great time yesterday. We should do this again sometime soon.”

“Yeah, sounds good.”

Then before Adaze could say another word, she was gone. For a while, Adaze just sat there.

She wondered sadly if it was the last she would see of her.

Sometime later, Adaze was pulled from her thoughts by the soft buzzing of her phone.

To her surprise it was a message from Leilani Silva. There was a little photo of her where she was leaning over top of her small black cat. His one bright green eye stared into the camera.

Just got done telling Jaspurr all about you and he can’t wait to meet you. Are you free tomorrow?

Adaze’s jaw dropped. She was stunned. Maybe it wasn’t just a one-night stand. Maybe it was something more.

Sorry, is that too soon? We can do a different day if you want.

Adaze typed back a quick reply.

No, it sounds perfect. I just wasn’t expecting you to want to see each other again so soon.

Adaze waited with anticipation as she watched the typing bubbles as Leilani formed her response.

I wouldn’t have left at all if I didn’t have a little mouth waiting impatiently for food.
