Leilani stepped into the apartment and looked around. The place was spotless, decorated in a modern minimalist style. Sleek black and white furnishings were peppered around with professionally arranged care. “Nice place,” she said.

“Thanks, why don’t you make yourself comfortable. I’ll get us something to drink. Do you like white wine?”

“Uh, yeah that’s fine.”

Leilani didn’t really like wine at all, but she felt like this was the kind of place where wine was expected. She didn’t mind so much although she felt suddenly kind of out of her depth. This wasn’t her world at all.

Adaze shot her a smile then headed over to the kitchen. As Leilani looked around, she found herself feeling more and more out of place. She’d known Adaze had money. A lot of money. She was on a yacht when they’d met, she wore suits and jewelry that was obviously designer, and this apartment block, well… Leilani couldn’t imagine what it cost to live here.

But then she took her inside.

And they went up to the penthouse!

Now here she was in a living room where the sofa looked like it cost more than her annual rent. The view over the city out of floor-to-ceiling glass was like nothing she had seen before. She hesitated for a moment before carefully taking a seat. She was glad Adaze said she was getting white wine and not red because Leilani would be far too paranoid that she might accidentally stain her beautiful couch.

Leilani was jerked from her thoughts when Adaze stepped back into the room. She’d unbuttoned her vest, two glasses in her hands. She held one out to Leilani.

“Thanks,” she said, taking the elegant glass, terrified she might break it.

Adaze reclined beside her, arm stretching across the back of the sofa. She looked natural here. Some kind of elegant, graceful creature who basked in luxury. “You can make yourself comfortable, you know,” she chuckled, and her beautiful lips curled over her immaculate, straight, white teeth.

Adaze was beautiful. She had a beautiful smile. Probably the work of an expensive cosmetic dentist, Leilani thought to herself.

Leilani let out a breath. “I don’t want to risk spilling anything on your furniture.”

“You don’t need to worry. I’ve spilt plenty of wine on it, I promise.”

Leilani huffed out a laugh, cautiously leaning back into its cushioned embrace and by extension, Adaze.

She heard the woman’s breath catch in her throat at the contact. For a moment, she held perfectly still, waiting to make sure the contact was welcome. Once she was sure it was, she let out a breath, letting herself relax as she sipped her drink.

The touch of her skin was electric. There was something between them that transcended Adaze’s obvious wealth. Adaze pushed her beautiful dark wavy hair behind her ear. She swallowed loudly.

Leilani wondered what this was between them. Was Adaze into her? On what level? Sexually? More than that?

What was it for Leilani? Just sexual? Sugar Mommy? That wasn’t really her style—it had to be more than that.

Adaze wasn’t Leilani’s usual type, but then surely a woman as stunning and wealthy and successful as Adaze was everyone’s type. She was certainly Leilani’s type now. Leilani looked at Adaze’s long, elegant, immaculately manicured fingers on her wineglass. Luckily, her nails were short and neat.

She must be gay.

I want those fingers inside me.

It was only halfway through the glass of wine that Leilani found the courage to be bold.

Leilani set her wine on the coffee table then turned to face Adaze. “I really want to kiss you.” She looked into her beautiful aqua eyes that looked more open and vulnerable than Leilani had ever seen them.

Adaze studied her, eyes searching her face for a moment. Then a smirk settled on her alluring mouth. “Then do it.”

Leilani didn’t need to be told twice. One of her hands came to cup Adaze’s cheek, the other to rest on her thigh.

Then she leaned in.

When their lips finally met, it was a simple chaste kiss, but even that was enough to send sparks through every inch of Leilani’s skin. It was everything she’d hoped for. It was as if a part of her soul she didn’t know was missing clicked back into place.

She longed to lean into it, to press herself against the other woman, but she didn’t want to come on too strong. After a moment, she forced herself to pull away.

But Adaze surprised her. The older woman wrapped her arms around her neck, pulling them closer. Leilani let out a small noise of surprise before melting against her. One of Adaze’s hands moved to tangle in her hair, not pulling, not stroking, just holding her head in place and leaving her mouth at her mercy. Leilani made an encouraging sound, twisting her body so she could press herself even closer.
