A part of her knew it was her ego that had been hurt, that the man she desired the most didn’t want her anymore.

He can go to hell!

Sucking in a deep breath, she pushed away thoughts of her demon husband and tried to relax.

Slowly, the stunning view of the waterfall during sunset began to relax her. Letting out a sigh, she relaxed.

Her eyes were drifting close when she heard Uma returning with her dinner.

“Thanks, Uma,” she said. “I’m not hungry yet. I’ll eat later—”

She broke off with a gasp. Instead of Uma, the demon’s presence filled the bathroom doorway.

She immediately tried to sink deeper into the water, but there wasn’t any foam on the surface to hide her body.

“Get out!” she snapped.

The demon’s grey eyes flashed, and he stepped inside. She was shocked when he began removing his clothes.

“What are you doing!” she snapped, even though she could see that he was planning to shower while she was in the bathtub.

He didn’t say anything and continued to undress.

She gritted her teeth as his god-like spectacular body came into view. Knowing that the arrogant demon wouldn’t leave or listen to her, she decided to ignore him while he showered.

But she was shocked when he didn’t step into the shower and instead came towards her.

“Rudra!” she screeched when he stepped into the bathtub and sat right opposite her. Even though the tub was large enough to fit three people, the six-and-a-half-foot demon’s presence made it seem small. His legs brushed against the sides of her hips. And his hard arousal lay against his stomach over the surface of the water, making his intentions obvious.

“What are you doing?” she snapped.

He watched her lazily. “Taking a bath.”

She sucked in an angry breath at his remark.

“You can’t do that while I am bathing,” she snapped.

“Why not… wife?”

She gritted at his deliberate taunt. And despite her anger, her nipples hardened, and her skin broke into goosebumps.

The heat in his grey eyes as he watched her made her angry, but she felt angrier with herself.

She reminded herself of the hurt she felt the previous night due to his rejection. And now, she was pissed that the arrogant demon thought he could have her whenever he was horny and could ignore her when he wasn’t.

“I’m your temporary wife,” she snapped. “And what happened two nights ago happened in the heat of the moment. I no longer want you.”

There was another flash in his eyes. He knew she was lying, and the attraction between them wasn’t momentary. It had been building for many weeks until it erupted.

“There’s heat even now,” he said, scanning her body lazily. Her skin burned under his heated gaze.

“No!” she said. “I don’t desire you. You are not my type.”

With his tanned skin, broad shoulders, and rippling muscles with a strikingly handsome masculine face, he looked like every woman’s wet dream. But she stuck to her statement.

“My preference runs to younger men,” she said. “My boyfriend Rahul is my age. Not old like you.”

Grey flashed darkly at Rahul's reference. She knew the demon was possessive.
