“Oh, I see. Sorry, cuz. We forgot you are eager to return to your just-for-an-alliance wife.”

Laughter boomed in the small space, which was set up like a control center, with multiple monitors showing satellite coverage over the north Singoor region.

Rudra shook his head at the juvenile behavior of his cousins. His three cousins were top executives of one of the world’s biggest companies. But whenever the four of them were together, they resorted to teasing each other like they had since childhood.

The chuckles faded, and finally, the meeting got to the point.

“The Thakvar brothers want to meet the K4S chairman and CEO,” Krish stated. “They are putting pressure through home office and other sources.”

Rudra wasn’t surprised by the Thakvar’s resourcefulness.

Right from the moment he had taken their sister, they used every resource at their disposal to get to her. He had been alert and even gotten the Thakvar package's contents scanned for weapons or satellite phones. But the damn bracelet went undetected since it looked like an antique heirloom of the Thakvar clan. Even the crumpled letter from Chitra Thakvar to her daughter seemed deceptively innocent.

It was only later that he realized it contained clues about what had to be done. The letter basically asked Nandini to win the trust of the Kabali clan and go to a higher elevation where the signal would work.

Nandini damn Thakvar hatched a perfect plan accordingly. She seduced him and made him take her to the holy land on the mountaintop.

The bracelet had sent out a tracking signal from the mountaintop.

He had been passed out with the drugged drink, and it had taken multiple small electric shocks through his bracelets and alerts sent by his cousins through his earpiece to wake him up.

Anger simmered through him. Although he had guessed Nandini was up to something, he was too far damn obsessed with her to think it would involve an elaborate escape plan. He was taken in by her damn seduction.

His desire for her was beyond rational thought.

Even now, when he knew she hated him and wouldn’t hesitate to stab him in his heart, he still recalled the feel of her soft lips and temptress body lying under him.

Fuck!

He pushed away the thoughts of his cunning seductress wife and focused on the critical issue. “Are they trying to get the satellite access through K4S?” he asked.

“That too,” Krish replied. “We have been avoiding their questions under privacy rules. But now, they seem to have gained access to proof that ties you to the Kapoor family. We tried to get information on what they have, but the Thakvars are keeping it tightly under wraps.”

Rudra frowned, trying to think of what information they could have that tied them to the Kapoor family.

It couldn’t have been DNA testing from his blood sample. The Kapoor family was extremely private, with no traces in the digital world.

“They have been relentless,” Krish said. “But we will continue to block their attempts to gain access or get information.”

Rudra knew that his cousins had his back.

“And they seemed to have found more clues regarding the stolen statue,” Keshav added.

“Goddess Shakti statue,” Rudra corrected his cousin.

His cousin nodded and agreed. “The younger Thakvar brother has been to Mongolia, and now a team is being sent to Tibet. The middle brother is still flying to the Caribbean islands, combing through private islands, and looking for Tantra.”

“I’m more concerned about the oldest brother,” said Krish. “Unlike his younger brothers, he’s doing some groundwork that we cannot track. You have to watch your back.”

Rudra knew Shivay Thakvar was working closely with the Singoor clans. Since quite a few east and west clans shared a border with the north Singoor, it was easy to send out spies and mercenaries to find the location of the Kabali clan.

“I have men on the lookout for spies,” he said.

All north clans were kept vigilant, knowing there could be an attack from the Thakvar clan.

There was a chuckle from his cousin Kian.

“You know, cuz. You could have avoided all this if you had agreed to our suggestion and gone to New York last year.”
