I bite my lip, looking at him.

I’m not going to say it. There’s no way I can say it.

Fuck it.

“Kael?” I whisper. “Would you...would you take my virginity?”

Fuck. What have I done?

He’s going to say no. He’s going to tell me he’d never?—

He lets out a long breath. “Do you want me to?”

“Yes. Yes, Kael. I want you to take my virginity.” I never expected those words to come out of my mouth, but here we are.

He curses in Gaelic, and I frown.

This is it. This is where he tells me he doesn’t actually want me because no one has ever wanted me.

“You don’t want me?” I hate the way my voice shakes.

The laugh he barks out sounds bitter. “That’s not the issue, sweetheart.”

“Then what is?”

“You’re Declan’s sister! I’m supposed to be protecting you, not?—”

“But you are protecting me.” I turn my head to look at him. “Please.”

He slowly takes one breast in his hand and leans down to pull my nipple into his mouth, and I moan loudly.

God, I want this so bad. I want him so bad I ache.

There’re a million thoughts whirling around in my mind and hardly any of them good, but I keep pushing them away. I want this. I want this one thing, and why shouldn’t I have it when it is clear he wants it too?

“Kael,” I pant. “Please.”

“Please what, princess?” He lifts his head to look at me.

“Please fuck me.” I’m sure my face is red, but I’m so worked up from what we did earlier that I don’t care.

“Don’t play with me, princess. You have to want this. Because once I start?—”

“I want this. I want you, Kael, please.”

He swallows visibly and spreads my thighs, running his fingers through my lower lips.

I’m sopping wet, and he moans.

“Just be gentle,” I whisper, and he cups my face with his hands.

“I’d never hurt you, sweetheart.”

Smiling, I nod slowly, but when he lines up, holding himself at the base to guide himself into me, something like fear rushes through me.

I take a deep breath, though, and it slowly goes away as he pushes into me.

I moan in the back of my throat. It’s a hard push at first, but once he’s inside, it feels unbelievable.
