As the minutes pass, the louder the crowd gets, with us in the lead, only two minutes to go, you can’t even hear yourself think in here.
The stands shake like an earthquake from people jumping and celebrating, so close to winning but also so much time left in the game. The louder the crowd, the more intense the game becomes.
Springfield players start getting dirty with their checks, doing a little bit of hooking, not making it noticeable. Doing whatever it takes to get the puck and score one more so we can go into overtime. The crowd may be encouraging that too, knowing it means more hockey to watch.
The timer past the one-minute mark, starting to dial down quickly and my smile spreads as Springfield takes a shot towards Koda, giving themselves one last shot, but Koda catches the puck in his glove and the buzzer goes off.
Jax and Sully tackle Koda, knocking him to the ice, their typical winning game celebration and I celebrate with the girls, the home team, Paul, my mom. Screaming at the top of our lungs, before the guy’s skate to the glass and celebrate with the whole team new and old.
Dax and Brayden once again hanging from the glass before they are over top it and now on the ice. I almost piss myself laughing, that beer may be catching up, and I can’t believe they just did that.
But it’s a celebration I will never forget.
Celebration Time
Macie
The first of hopefully many wins will come from tonight's winning game.
To watch the guys celebrate and be a part of this is an amazing feeling, I don't think my heart has slowed yet.
I stand here leaning against the wall in the back hallway waiting for Jax and the guys. I sent Keri and Bree home with the team and told them I would wait here, knowing it would be a while. I want to celebrate with Jax before the crazy night begins anyways.
It's different than at home. Where I have some privileges here, I don't have the same, as in, I can't just go in the locker room like I used to or be in the team box; It is what it is, I'm not bothered by it.
This is their show, I don't need to be involved in everything.
A couple of the guys come out, I've only met at the dinner, and they give me a smile with their nods as they walk past me, Koda's behind them, Sully and Jax behind him.
I peel my back from the wall in a hurry, locking eyes with Jax before I dart around Koda and wrap my arms around Jax's neck and his arms wrap around me, pulling my feet from the floor and I look into his eyes with my smile, "Told you."
He chuckles his words, "Yeah, you did."
I lean in and press my lips to his, curling my hand around the nape of his neck, deepening our kiss and when I pull my lips from his, he sets me back on my feet.
We walk to Koda's car, the guys excited, not an ounce of exhaustion shown in them. As Jax and I slide into the back seat, he wraps his arm over my shoulder, pulling me against him as he whispers in a growl against my ear, "When we get home, go straight to our room."
I lick my lips with my smile before I whisper back, "And why would I do that?" My words are filled with a tease, and he grabs my hand before he places it over his hard cock beneath his pants.
"Because the vessels in my dick are about to explode Macie."
I giggle as I give him a firm squeeze and he groans as I tease, "We can’t have that."
The palm of his hand cups my cheek as his fingers curl around the nape of my neck, turning my head to the side, making me look up at him. That dark desire fills his eyes, and I feel the pulse between my legs.
His thumb drops below my chin, digging into my throat as he leans down and claims my lips in a forceful kiss, diving his tongue down my throat. I feel the game energy feeding off him, knowing this is going to be one wild ride, but hey, I’m here for it.
I nip his bottom lip between my teeth, and he growls before he pulls me from the seat beside him and into his lap. His forehead presses to mine before he whispers, "I feel like I’m high."
I smile my laugh, "I know that high, I felt it last night."
His hand slides up my thigh, my eyes to flutter with the feel of him touching my skin.
My brother who is driving pulls into the driveway, before him and Sully start to get out of the car, but Jax is not moving, and neither am I.
"You coming?" Sully asks, poking his head back into the car.
"Just give us a minute." Jax growls and they both shut their doors and I lift my brow, "Now what?"
