I grab the picture and Sully’s bag before making my way back outside, looking down at the picture in my hand; This picture has to go with us.

I walk out and put the bag in the truck before turning my attention on the guys. "I stole something " I say giving Sully a playful smile.

He cocks a brow before I show him the picture and he smiles, "Do you remember that day?"

"Yeah, it was the day we both got our driver’s licenses." I remember it like it was yesterday, and Holly was a good driver. She was hit by a drunk one.

I miss her so much. She was only 18 and had that big future in skating too.

"Let’s get on the road, we have a long drive" Jax snakes his arm around my waist, pulling me into him, that cocky smile returning in full force.

He leans down and presses his lips to mine, squeezing me tighter and I can’t help the smile curling against his lips.

"Let’s go have some fun" he whispers against my lips, and I nod before he pulls away.

Walking to the passenger door, before I crawl in and over the passenger seat and into the back middle seat so Sully can sit up front; Only fair, he needs leg room, and I don’t really.

I settle in my seat, the guys getting in theirs, and my heart starts beating faster.

This is it.

A shiver rocks my skin from head to toe.

We’re doing this.

I’m leaving this town.

Both Jax and Sully turn and look back at me and I lift a brow, my eyes bouncing from the two as they hold their playful gazes on me, before Jax chuckles "You ready for this wild ride?"

Road Trip

Macie

We've been driving for hours, conversations have been had on and off, but it has also given me a lot of time to just, Relax.

My classes at the rink were coming to an end for a few weeks since hockey season is starting to ramp up in full swing, so ice time is limited. But I did have a few classes to go, so I told Mike, Mom could finish, and that she can pick them up when they start again in a few weeks.

Hey, she wants skaters, there you go. I trust she won't be a bitch to little ones, and she has the push my older girls needed. So have at it Ma! That's what she gets for being a bitch.

We have a house set up for us, according to Jax. He handled it all when he was on the phone with the Coach of the Nighthawks team. The house isn't far from the skating rink, so that's a plus.

As Jax drives, I start looking for jobs, trying to find anything really that revolves around dance. Applying for some, but one in particular, caught my eye.

It's contracted work, only performing special events, concerts, the big stuff and that is what I've been wanting. So, I send my resume and pray I get somewhere closer to my goal, my dream.

I put my laptop away, and sit back in my seat bringing my legs up, and lay them on the center console, crossing them between Jax and Sully.

It's quiet in the truck besides the radio going, and the wind swirling around from the windows being down. I think all three of us are getting bored and tired of being in the truck. Jax keeps adjusting himself in the seat, Sully taps his hand against the door, anxiously; It has been a very long day. We won't get there until morning, and the sun is starting to go down, so we just have to make it through the night, and we should be in our new home.

A song comes on the radio I know will add a little fun to this boring drive so, I pull my legs down, before I lean forward, smashing between Jax and Sully's arms that are resting on the center console.

Jax looks down at me and I twist my lips into my devious smile, causing him to lift a brow.

"Thought you said this was going to be a wild ride?" I tease.

That smile cracks, letting his chuckle come out as I reach for the dial and turn the volume up. And I start singing, bobbing my head, being a complete goof, because well, I'm fucking bored out of my mind.

I reach up, hit the button to open his sunroof, before I climb my way out.
