Noh held herhand as the probe went in, and the doctor kept chatting aboutthings looking good. “Looks like there was no lasting damage.”

“This willsound weird, but check the perineum, please?”

A soft laughand a solid thumb press. “All good. You tore?”

“Right to therectum. I was unconscious for two weeks, and then I met mybaby.”

“Yourattacker?”

“The Strongholddestroyed him according to their records. They can’t have Eliteattacking children when a rut hits.”

The doc noddedfor her to sit up and handed her some soft paper napkins. Lyacleaned up, and the doc disposed of the napkins. She got herpanties and boots back on.

“She’s not abeta.”
