“I’ve got a surprise for you,” he says. “I thought we could take it easy today. There will be no rough games, just you and me relaxing together.”
I stare at him, my brow furrowed. “Relaxing?" I echo.
Matias nods, the corner of his mouth twitching upward in a small smile. “Yes, I've drawn you a hot bath, and then I thought we could watch a movie. You can even pick it.”
I can't help but feel a glimmer of hope at his words. Perhaps this is a sign that there's more to Matias than the primal predator. Slowly, I push myself into a sitting position, wincing slightly at the soreness.
Matias grabs my hand helping to support me to get comfortable.
“Thank you,” I murmur, my gaze meeting his.
There's a softness in his eyes that I've never seen before, and it makes my heart flutter with a strange mix of trepidation and cautious optimism.
Matias nods, his hand lingering on my arm momentarily before he stands. “Eat your breakfast, and then I'll help you to the bath,” he says.
I watch as he leaves the room. Is this a trick, or is Matias truly showing a different side of himself? I take a deep breath, reach for the tray of food, and decide to take this moment of respite for what it is.
After finishing the delicious breakfast of bacon and eggs, I push myself out of bed and walk to the bathroom.
As I push open the door, I'm greeted by the sight of the large claw-foot tub filled to the brim with steaming water. Rose petals float on the surface, their delicate scent filling the air. I can't help but marvel at the unexpected gesture, my fingers tracing the intricate details of the porcelain tub.
It’s almost romantic. Although, I’m not sure the word romantic could ever be used to describe Matias. I plunge into the water, sighing as the heat envelops me. The aches and soreness in my muscles begin to melt away, and I feel a sense of calm wash over me.
After what feels like an eternity, the bathroom door creaks open, and I open my eyes to see Matias standing there, a soft expression on his face. “It's time to get out.”
I nod, reluctantly rising from the tub. Matias steps forward, a large towel in his hands. He begins to dry me slowly, reverently, his touch feather-light. The contrast to his usual rough handling is startling, and I’m captivated by the gentleness of his movements.
Once I'm dry, I wrap the towel around myself, my gaze meeting Matias's. “Why are you being so nice?" I ask, my voice barely above a whisper.
Matias pauses, his eyes searching mine. “Because you deserve to be treated with care,” he says. “After all you've been through, you deserve a moment of peace.”
I blink, unsure of how to respond. This softer, more considerate side of Matias is so foreign to me, and I struggle to reconcile it with the ruthless predator I've come to know. Not to mention, much of what I’ve been through has been his fault.
“I...” I start, my words failing me. “I don't understand.”
Matias reaches out, his fingers gently tracing the line of my jaw. “You don't have to understand, Kali,” he murmurs. “Just know that I'm here to take care of you today in whatever way you need.”
His touch sends chills through me, and I find myself leaning toward him. Matias's lips curve into a small smile, and he bends forward, pressing a feather-light kiss on my forehead.
“Come,” he says, his voice soft. “Let's go relax together.”
I swallow hard. “What about my clothes?" I noticed that he hasn't worn clothes since we arrived here.
“There's no need for clothes here. I told you we won’t be wearing them.” He pulls the towel away from me. “Follow me.”
I follow him out of the bathroom, unsure what to make of this turn of events.
Matias settles onto the sofa, and I sink into the cushions beside him, feeling his body heat. He hands me the remote, a slight grin playing on his lips. “Choose your poison, little rabbit. But nothing too sappy.”
I snort softly as I scroll through the movie options, feeling nervous. What am I doing here, choosing a movie with him? It feels so domestic and normal. Except it isn't, because Matias isn't normal.
Finally, I select a classic romantic comedy I've always loved, The Holiday. Matias raises an eyebrow at the choice but doesn't comment. He stretches out on the sofa, propping his head on a throw pillow, and pats his lap. “Come here, baby. Keep me warm during the movie.”
I hesitate, a frown forming on my brow. “What do you mean?"
A low chuckle escapes him as he reaches for me, pulling me onto his lap. “I want you to straddle me, Kali.” His voice drops to a husky murmur. “You'll get to watch your movie, and I'll get to feel that sweet pussy of yours wrapped around my cock.”
My breath catches when I realize what he's asking. “You mean just sit here with your dick inside me? Not moving?"
