“Ah, but I wanted to,” I reply, sitting beside her. “Consider it a reward for your submission last night.” I reach out, tracing the line of her jaw with my fingertips. “And there’s more where that came from.”

Kali’s eyes widen. I know she’s still afraid of what this is between us, but she’s starting to accept it.

“As for today,” I continue, “I’ll drive you to school. And when you’re done, you’ll come back to me. You’re free to go, Kali, but you must return home every night.” I lean in, my lips brushing against her ear. “Because you belong to me, always.”

Kali processes my words, and I can see the wheels turning in her mind. Her fate is now inextricably linked to mine. She may have the illusion of freedom, but she knows deep down that she’s bound to me by an invisible leash.

Kali nods slowly, her gaze fixed on the breakfast tray. “Okay,” she mutters.

I slide under the sheets and feel her tense up as I move down to settle between her thighs, gazing up at her. “Eat, rabbit,” I command, my voice firm. “And I’ll eat too.”

Her eyes dart between the tray of food and me between her thighs. Slowly, her shoulders relax, and she rests back against the headboard.

I chuckle, the sound deep. I live for this: the power, the thrill of her surrender.

As Kali takes a tentative bite of her eggs, I take a bite of my breakfast—her. Her arousal is like a drug, and I can’t get enough. I lick and nip at her clit, reveling in the way her body responds. Her breath quickens, and she moans, the sound muffled as she chews.

I work my magic, licking and sucking until she’s squirming and her breakfast is forgotten. Her hands tangle in my hair, her hips arching off the bed. “Matias,” she pants. “I can’t... I need to...”

I chuckle against her pussy, the vibration sending a shudder through her. “Go ahead, finish your breakfast. I’ll be here, savoring you for breakfast.”

Kali whimpers. I want her to be consumed by me. Slowly, I insert a finger into her wet cunt, teasing her entrance while I continue to feast on her.

She moans, her body trembling on the verge of release. “Matias, please,” she begs, her eyes closing.

I chuckle, the sound sending a thrill through her. “That’s it, baby. Let go. Come for me.”

As her body shudders and she cries out, I savor the taste of her on my tongue. This is my reward, my payment for a job well done. And it’s just the beginning. I have no intention of ever letting her go. She’s mine now, and I plan to keep her exactly where I want her—by my side.

My backpack is slung over my shoulder as I make my way across the quad toward the cafeteria. A week has passed since Matias moved me away from my friends to his apartment. While part of me resents how he went about it, I’ve grown almost comfortable there.

When I told Alice and the others that I was staying with Matias by choice, I could see the doubt in their eyes. I hated lying to them, but the truth was too complicated to fully understand.

How can I explain how his touch ignites a fire within me, even as it terrifies me?

As I near the building, a voice calls out, “Hey, Kali! Wait up!"

I turn to see Jake jogging toward me, the guy from my architecture class. He flashes me a warm smile that makes my stomach flutter.

“Hi, Jake,” I reply.

“I'm glad I caught you. I was hoping we could grab coffee sometime. Maybe after architecture class?" His eyes are hopeful, and I can't help but be flattered.

I want to agree and experience something normal and uncomplicated for once. But Matias would probably murder him. He lost his shit and beat up Carter at that party. I belong to him now.

“I'm not sure,” I stammer. “I've got a lot going on right now, and-"

“Is everything okay?" Jake asks, his brow furrowing with concern. “You seem a little on edge.”

I force a smile, trying to reassure him. “Yeah, yeah, I'm fine. It's just-"

Before I can finish my sentence, a shadow falls over us. I turn to see Matias standing behind me, his eyes narrowing and jaw clenched.

“Kali,” he growls. “I thought I told you to come straight home after class.”
