“I’ll fuck her if I want to and this obsessive little bitch fit you’re having isn’t attractive. Drop her.”

“You better get her to do it, Cairo,” Bay warns through what sounds to be clenched teeth. “Or she’s going to have a broken nose.”

Vivian chuckles. “I’d love to see her try.”

Fine.

Fuck it.

I slide out from between them, giving Bay her opportune moment to do whatever the hell she wants.

I warned Vivian and now she has to pay the consequences for her actions. No longer am I her savior nor do I give a shit what happens to her.

Vivian and my love affair has been dead for years.

Bay’s clenched fist is already wailing in the direction of my ex when I hear the scream of my name in its wake.

It’s a desperate plea, almost frantic, as Bay connects with her target.

Using the limited time allotted, while Vivian is stumbling back a few paces, Bay’s trying to pull it together. Her chest pulls upward in quickly paced breaths, like a wild animal about to wreak havoc at any given time.

Matteo’s little visit fucked her up more than I thought it did, I think.

Vivian immediately rushes her, slamming into her body but Bay’s quick to get the upper hand.

Whipping around her body, Bay clenches the back of Vivian’s gold necklace wrapped around her neck and jerks on it.

My ex’s eyes bulge as she reaches for the piece of jewelry, already experiencing the cut-off oxygen to her lungs and the satisfying sound of her choking.

“What was that about beating my ass?” Bay leers, and my cock—that fuckin’ thing —actually twitches in my jeans. Her blue eyes are mad with fury and absolutely stunning to look at.

Like they always are.

“Bay.”

Looping my focus around, Reeve is standing there with a teenage girl who looks slightly like the woman who’s about to kill my ex, but she currently has her view obstructed by my brother’s hand.

Bay’s wild blues bolt onto Reeve, and she promptly lets go of Vivian, stepping around her body to get to her sister.

“Ellie.”

Reeve removes his hand and her sister is quick to find her older sibling and rushes her.

Bay already has her arms open for her, pulling her to her chest and rocking her from side to side. Reeve’s focus is glued to the two of them while I step forward to keep Vivian the fuck out of the conversation.

“How did you get separated?” Bay asks her sister, already seeming to forget what she’s just done.

“It all happened so fast,” her sister replies. “The explosion was so loud, and then everyone seemed to start fighting. Levi got hit and he tried to stay close to me, but we got cut off from each other. Some girl tried to pull my hair and?—”

“What was she wearing?” Bay moves away from her so she can look down at Ellie, and I can tell she ramping up to do some more damage control.

Meanwhile, I sign silently to Reeve, “Get Vivian the fuck out of here.”

My brother doesn’t need any more explanation and my ex doesn’t put up a fight over it either. Still trying to catch her breath from her near-death experience because it may have been one if I didn’t stop it.

“I don’t know,” Ellie replies. “A purple top, I think, and a silver skirt.” Bay stiffs, glancing over the door to the coffee shop to probably go fuck said girl up right now.

“She’s okay,” I mutter to her. “No need to get involved with what’s going on out there but in here. It was Matteo De Leon and his boys looking to show out. We’ll stay here until you hear from Levi.”
