Also, nice try with the copies of the Switzerland pictures you sent me.
You’re still not going.
Stay out of trouble,
Beach Boy
P.S. The Coldplay song suits you.
Dear Laynee,
I haven’t heard back from you, which means you really did go to Switzerland and didn’t tell me or you’re busy.
Or you’re walking to California on foot because you miss me that much.
If it makes you feel any better, I miss you too. California is becoming a drag, and my parents are in and out of business meetings all the time, so the house is empty and quiet to sleep in.
Amber and I broke up because I beat her at Monopoly.
Actually, it was because she wanted me to spend more time with her, but with practice and school, I couldn’t swing it.
I’m dating a girl named Amanda now and made the mistake of calling her Amber by accident. (I’m still in the doghouse for that one.) Apparently, I need to stop dating girls with names that start with ‘A’.
They are announcing the dates for Warped Tour soon and wanted to know if you wanted to go with me. I’m sure they come over to North Carolina so I can fly out to you. Once I get the dates, I’ll send them over.
As always, there’s a list of songs for you to listen to ASAP because I know that’s what you do.
Talk to you hopefully soon,
Beach Boy
Dear Cal,
I’m sorry that you’re so tired. Football sounds like it’s really tough. I’m having a hard time too. I’m shorter than all the girls on the volleyball team, but I’m trying to make up for it in a skill set that I’m still trying to obtain.
Send help.
Coach Watson is super nice though and very encouraging. I got to pick my jersey number and picked #23 for you. Now every time you wear it, you’ll know we’re wearing the same number.
Twin powers unite.
I went trick or treating with my brother, Jonah, for Halloween. He dressed up as Spongebob, and I painted my face pink to go as Patrick. People didn’t get it, but Devin got a kick out of it anyway.
I live around a bunch of weirdos.
You don’t know how many people dressed their kids up as livestock. It was a little over the top.
Mom has chilled out a bit since I don’t see her much with studying and volleyball. It seemed to do the trick on getting her to lay off me for a little while.
I was asked to the Winter Wonderland dance by a guy named Kyle on the basketball team. I might go, I’m not sure. As you know, dancing really isn’t my thing.
I’ve never been to a concert before but would love to go. I’m not sure how I’ll get my parents to let me go without one of them or another parent, though. Just let me know what you find out.
Write back soon,
Laynee
P.S. Bombs of Baghdad is amazing. Are you switching over to hip hop now?
