Chapter Sixteen

Yeo watched Carter and Elijah kiss. Caden stood with the rest of the wedding party, and he looked damn fine in his black tux. The couple’s formal wedding was beautiful, but not because of the flowers, ribbons, and other decorations. The way Carter watched Elijah made Yeo’s heart beat fast while the way Elijah’s eyes warmed when the traced over Carter’s face made Yeo sniffle. The two men loved one another, and it was obvious.

“I now present to you, Mr. and Mr. Benson,” the pastor said. The crowd cheered and Olive ran and jumped into Carter’s arms. Her pretty dress fluttered around her and the basket she carried trailed rose petals. “The new couple are hosting a reception at The Irish Rose. The address is listed on your invitation, but please let one of the ushers know if you need directions.

Yeo picked up his youngest brother, Min, and took Linc’s hand. Dean had taken great pleasure in giving the youngest addition to their family a Korean name. Min was an omega and belonged to Dean, one hundred percent. Yeo grinned and herded Summer and his brothers down the aisle. Jackson and his papa were back at the pub, helping Grey and the others cook for the reception. Caden met him at the door. “Are you all ready for the food?” He picked up Linc and gave his boy a cuddle.

They all cheered. “Do you even need to ask,” Yeo said, kissing his alpha. “You look so handsome in that tux.”

“Eww,” Summer said. “See how they’re looking at each other? I told you guys it was horrible.”

“They love each other,” Jules said. “It’s sweet.” Yeo kissed the top of his little brother’s head.

“Gag,” Jimmy said. “It’s too sweet.”

Jake just laughed at them. “Come on. I’m hungry.”

“You’re always hungry,” Yeo said.

By the time they reached the newly remodeled pub, most of the guests were already there. Abel and Justin had gone all out and renovated the place beautifully. The pub looked completely different from the dump it started as. It was larger and had a patio area so people could bring their pets with them to lunch. From what Justin had told Yeo, they planned on making it a real pub, not just a bar. They had already hired a cook and were interviewing bartenders and servers. Yeo had a feeling the place was going to be amazing.

For the wedding reception, the two men had set out long buffet style tables and loaded them down with delicious food. A live band was already playing, and Carter and Elijah slow danced on the dance floor. “They look so beautiful together,” Yeo said, squeezing Caden’s hand. “I’m glad you and your brother got your heads out of your asses.”

Jules and Jake laughed, and Summer rolled her eyes. “It really did take you guys long enough,” she said. “Oh, there’s Hannah. I’m going to ask her to dance.”

“We’ve lost Summer for the rest of the reception,” Jimmy said dryly. He smiled softly as he watched the two girls. “They look cute together, don’t they?”

“Mr. Ray is going to ask Papa to dance today too,” Jules said. “I heard him say so.”

“Hmm,” Jimmy said. “Papa sure does blush anytime Mr. Ray is around.”

“He’s not like Dad was,” Jake said. “I like him.”

“Me too,” Yeo said.

Caden couldn’t stop his grin when he saw Ray at the edge of the crowd. He kept fiddling with his bowtie, but it was crooked. His friend, Mr. Bartley, stood beside the beta and finally smacked his hands away, fixing the bowtie in seconds.

Dean stepped out of the kitchen with a platter of appetizers in his hand. He froze when he saw Ray and blushed when the man rushed over and whispered in his ear. Mr. Bartley grabbed the tray with a wink and brought it to the buffet table. Ray pulled Yeo’s papa to the dancefloor. “Well,” Yeo said. “Would you look at that.”

“Papa looks beautiful out there,” Jules said. “He loves dancing.”

“He does,” Caden said. “Now, who wants food?”

“There’s no time to eat, Caden,” Grey said, running to his friend, Abel and Justin right behind him. “The Hot Mess Club is ready to dance.” They pulled Caden out to the dance floor and Yeo laughed as the four men danced together.

“Do you need some help,” Tanner asked, shaking his head. “My boyfriend abandoned me for his friends.”

“What a coincidence,” Yeo said. “My fiancé did the same thing. Let’s go eat our heartache away.”

Later that night, Yeo slipped into bed beside Caden. His feet hurt, but he had enjoyed dancing the afternoon away. Caden’s arms slipped around him, and Yeo laid his head on his alpha’s chest.

“Caden?”

“Yes, angel? What’s wrong? You’ve been acting a little off since we got home.”

“Fawn, Lowell, and Derek are coming to visit next month,” Yeo said. “I’m going to talk to them about Michael.” Yeo hadn’t called the man dad since he found out the fucker raped Dean. “He deserves to pay for what he did to Papa. I don’t know what to do for sure, though.”
