The jocks are already in the cafeteria when we arrive. Lacy, Tina, Maggie, and Linda are in the line for food. I half expect them to cause trouble, but apart from a few daggered glares, they stay on their side of the room. Garrett joins us when he arrives for breakfast. The rest of the day passes in a blur.

Eli makes me go to dinner in the cafeteria, even after Miles and Kellan leave early to drive to town. He lingers over coffee, and I’m sure he’s doing it on purpose. By the time we go up to his room, I’m buzzing with anticipation.

Eli kicks the door closed behind us. “Alone at last.”

Leading him to the bed, I push him down onto the mattress. “I’ve been waiting for this all day. Get naked.”
