The second his attention returns to the whiteboard, I glance in Eli’s direction. The look of approval shining in his eyes sends heat through me. He mouths the words ‘good girl.’

After class is over, you’ll walk to the nearest restroom to clean up, and take off your panties. At lunchtime, you’ll join me at my table and sit on my lap so I can play with your pussy while I eat lunch.

Remembering his command, I tear my gaze away from his face and back to my book. We’re back to playing games, and I like it. The anticipation and the thrill are a drug I’ve missed. This time, though, knowing that Eli loves me makes it all the sweeter. I reach for the little padlock dangling on its chain around my neck and stroke the pad of my thumb over it.

Maybe we’re safe, and the nightmare has finally ended.

When I peek over at Eli a second time, Lacy is watching me through narrowed eyes. The look of pure hate on her expression sends my gaze back to my desk. It’s enough to leave me shaken and dissolve some of the warmth coursing through my veins.

I keep my focus on the teacher and my book for the rest of the class. When the bell rings, I sit and wait for most of the students to filter out before me. I’m aware of Eli and Kellan still lounging at their desks. They’re both playing with their phones, and neither of them look my way.

I pack away my things and hurry from the classroom, aiming straight for the girls’ restroom. Locked inside one of the stalls, I peel off my panties. With Eli telling me what he planned to do, I’d had time to plan—packing wet wipes and a plastic bag to store my cum soaked underwear in. I clean up and flush the toilet, then straighten my skirt. I’m thankful Eli let me pick the knee-length and not the thigh-high one he’d teased me about. I’m less likely to flash anyone my bare pussy as long as I don’t bend over too much.

When I unlock the door and step out, the smile on my lips drops away.

Lacy looks me up and down. “I don’t know what your game is, but Eli Travers is mine.”

I walk past her to the sink and wash my hands. “Last time I looked, your boyfriend was Brad.”

“I thought you’d learned your lesson by now. You’re nothing, Arabella. We rule the school, and you do as we tell you.” Her lip curls.

A chill crawls down my spine at her words, so familiar and yet not quite the same. “Who’s we?”

Is she the one behind the blackmail?

She snorts and flips back her hair. “Duh, the cheerleaders and the jocks. The popular kids. I don’t know how you got your hooks into Eli, but it ends here.”

I dry my hands and turn to her. “Why are you so interested in Eli?”

“I told you he’s mine.”

“Why?”

“He’s always been mine. Brad … He’s a puppy. Eli is a tiger. I know which one I’d rather have in my bed.”

I caress the hickeys on the side of my neck. “Eli is a beast in bed.”

Her eyes narrow into slits. “You’re going to dump him at lunch in front of the whole cafeteria. Make it painful and unpleasant.”

“Are you serious?” My gaze slices toward the door of the restroom and back.

Lacy laughs. “Totally. It’s not like he’s going to be heartbroken. Eli might have said the L word, but he could never love someone like you. He needs a queen like me.”

Anger snaps through me, sharp and hot, obliterating the small voice of common sense telling me to be careful.

Who the fuck does she think she is?

I walk forward until I get right up in her face. “Eli is mine. He loves me.”

The confidence in her expression falters, and she takes a step back.

“He can’t keep his hands, mouth, or dick off me. I’m not dumping him for you or anyone else. And if you don’t like that, it’s your problem, not mine. You might think you’re something special, Lacy, but you’re not.” I shove past her, open the restroom door and step out into the hallway.

Kellan and Eli are waiting for me a little further down. Eli’s gaze meets mine, and I give him a shaky smile. The warmth in his green eyes makes my insides melt.

Lacy is wrong. Eli does love me.

His attention shifts to something behind me, and he frowns. It’s the only warning I get. A hand slams into my back, shoving me forward into a passing crowd of students. I go flying, but one of the boys catches me before I hit the ground.
