“Just before your dad nearly saw me naked.”

I move closer to the bed. “Sounds vaguely familiar.” I wave a hand toward her jeans. “Maybe you should let me see what I promised to eat. It might jog my memory.”

She wriggles out of her jeans. I lick my lips.

“Nope. Sorry. Still don’t recall. Take off your panties.”

My mouth waters as she drags the scrap of lace down her legs.

“Things are starting to look familiar.” I kneel on the end of the bed and curl my fingers around her ankles. “Open your legs, Ari. I think it’s time for dessert.”

Chapter 32

Arabella

Eli winks at me as he walks around the car to my side. Elena and Elliot are holding hands, moving toward the entrance of the Country Club ahead of us in the dark. From the sound of the music, the Christmas Eve party is in full swing.

Everything feels surreal. The day had passed, playing board games and me baking up a storm. My mother even helped me in the kitchen, which has never happened, ever. We all tucked the gifts under the Christmas tree, ready to be opened tomorrow. We actually felt like a proper family, which made me realize how broken we’d been before.

Fingers brush the back of my hand as I walk. Giving Eli a sideways glance, I smile. His face is cast in shadows from the lights of the building, and I catch the smirk on his lips. I woke up this morning, with his hungry mouth between my legs and on the brink of an orgasm. The second my body tipped over the edge, he’d rose and settled between my thighs. The image of his green eyes boring into mine as he held my hips and sank deep inside of me is seared into my brain.

He leans close to whisper in my ear. “I’ll find somewhere later to bend you over, shove my dick inside you and fuck your brains out.”

“Eli!” I nudge his shoulder with mine.

“Are you going to tell me that the idea of sneaking out in the dark and coming on my dick doesn’t make you wet?”

My attention darts to our parents, but they’re far enough away not to hear us. “You know it does.”

His hand caresses my ass, then drops away. “Maybe I’ll just put you on your knees and you can suck my dick. There are plenty of places around here we could go.”

“You’ve done it before?” I’m not sure why the thought leaves me unsettled.

This is just fun. Nothing more. I don’t even know why we’re still having sex.

Because I like it. I like Eli’s cock buried so deep inside me that I forget everything else.

Eli’s gaze flicks over my face, and he frowns. “I wasn’t born knowing how to get you off. I’m not innocent, Hellcat. You must have worked out by now that there have been plenty of girls who’ve had a taste of me.”

How many girls? I want to ask, but I keep my mouth shut.

We’ve almost reached the entrance to the club, the strings of colored lights making the cheerful Christmas decorations gleam. The place is busy. People are gathered in groups sipping drinks and around tables filled with food, or dancing, the excited hum of voices filling the air with the music.

The woman behind the coat-checking desk greets Elliot warmly, asking about his health. After a brief conversation, he hands his long woolen coat to her.

“I wish you’d wear a happy color, Bella.” Elena sighs, giving her jacket over to the woman. “It’s Christmas Eve after all, and black is so depressing.”

She eyed the long black dress when I descended the stairs back at the house, ready to go out. The fact she’s waited this long to say something is amusing.

I slip out of my coat and place it on the desk. “I like black. It goes with everything.”

The hairs on the back of my neck rise. I sense eyes on me and scan the faces of the other partygoers until several familiar ones come into view. Tina, Evan, Bret, and his roommate, Garrett, are watching me from across the room.

The shock of seeing them freezes the smile on my lips.

Disjointed memories fill my head. The texts, the messages, and the video. Nausea rolls in my stomach, and I struggle to breathe.

I tear my attention away from them. “I’m going to use the restroom.”
