Opening my laptop, I press play on the video of Sebastian’s last conference. I watch it till the end, like I’ve watched every single one of his interviews and appearances for the past three years.

Zooming in on his face, the girl I once was whimpers in pain at seeing him doing so great without me. The lying bastard smiles and makes promises he does not mean, but he does keep them.

Unlike the promises he made to me.
