“I don’t know how you’re casually sitting in that lava water.”
He shrugs. “Guess I’m tough.”
My mouth opens in shock. “Wow! Okay then,” I tease reaching across and tickling his armpit.
“Stop or I’ll blow bubbles at you!”
“Blow me anytime,” I reply with a wink.
Following through with his threat, he blows a handful of bubbles at me. I retaliate by rubbing the bubbles from his hair.
“Hey!”
We go back and forth for a moment until some water sloshes from the tub.
“Looks like we might have to call Terry after all,” Ollie says with a wince.
“No, that’s okay.”
I leave the edge of the Jacuzzi and start mopping it up.
“You enjoy your hot bath, I’ll watch you play from the end.”
Ollie giggles but continues playing with the bubbles.
Once I hang up the towel I plop on the bed and continue watching him.

The sun is setting on our last night here. Oliver is across the pool watching it go down. Water drips from the curls around his head. Pulling out my phone, I snap a candid picture of him leaning against the wall, faced away, the sky painted a brilliant array of pinks and reds. The sight is stunning.
I open Instagram and despite my hatred of sharing all my personal stuff, this photo needs to be shared with the world.
Oliver is worth sharing, even if it’s hard. Which is exactly why our trip is short and I have a surprise for him waiting at home.
Eventually I slip into the water and we race across the pool several times before ending the night by floating on our backs across the pool lazily.
I’m excited to take him back home and see if he likes what I’ve got planned, but I’m nervous as hell. What if he hates it? I push that thought aside and enjoy our last night together at this special place.

“You know how I only have one rule?” I ask suggestively.
Oliver’s brown eyes go from side to side as if searching his brain for what I could be referring to.
We’re on our way back to our home. It went fast and I’m worried he’s a bit miffed that it didn’t last longer. Though it was quite eventful, so maybe he had enough.
Oliver plays along with my little game and eventually guesses.
“Don’t be so loud?”
We both chuckle.
“That’s not really a rule, more of a suggestion.”
Because truthfully, it’s hot as hell when he moans. The sound vibrating off the wall back at me adds to the experience.
