He doesn’t answer. Just keeps staring.

Heat pours from his body, wrapping around me like a blanket. The irate beating of my heart is uncontrollable, and the sexual tension cracks like a whip. I try to squirm under his hold, but fail miserably. When he’s tired of me trying to escape, he lowers my arms and spins me around, locking me into his strong embrace. With his arms closed around me, he makes it impossible to move. His hard length presses into my ass, and I involuntarily squirm, but it’s not to get away. I hate admitting I like the feeling of him against me like this.

“Venom. What the hell are you doing?”

His hard chest seeps heat onto my back. “I’m not surprised you got some moves, girl. But I’m not your average Joe. You can’t use them on me.”

I laugh. “I’m so impressed. Now, let me go.” I squirm again, this time trying to break free. And I can feel his hard length growing more as I rub against him. But he just holds me tighter, and I melt into him. The gesture feels intimate—too intimate. And my body erupts with desire.

“Not before you tell me what you’re doing here.”

“I don’t have to tell you shit. This is none of your business. And you need to leave. Now.”

The door I’m supposed to be behind flies open, and the client I’m supposed to be wooing stops dead in his tracks, gawking at us.

“Can we fucking help you?” Venom’s voice drips with menace while he continues to constrict my movements.

“Uh, look, man, I think she’s my escort. I got her for the full hour, and my hour starts now. So, maybe wait until after I’m finished with her.”

I dip my head forward onto the uneven wall, letting the abrasive exterior scrape my forehead, and dramatically roll my eyes back. Shit...

Venom spins me around, taking turns as he eyes each of us. He’s pissed. Bubbling with rage. But why should he be? The pressure of his weight vanishes, and he steps away. I shiver from the sudden cold, wanting to feel him close again.

“Are you fucking serious?” Venom cocks his head in disgust.

“Like I said, you need to leave.” I push off the wall and start closing the distance between myself and my client, but Venom’s strong hand grips my upper arm, shoving me back behind him.

“I don’t fucking think so,” he demands. We’re left in a staring match, the two of us. His eyes hold me captive, and I know there’s no way he’ll let me go. But I can’t piss off this client, because pissing him off means Victor will find out. And when that happens…

I shudder.

“Hey, I paid for her, dude.”

Venom doesn’t take his eyes off mine. But the growl that leaves him is bone chilling. “Get. Lost.”

“What? No fucking way. She—”

Venom whips his head around, taking a threatening step forward. And the guy practically falls back into the room, his eyes wide with terror. “I said. Get. Fucking. Lost. Now. Or I will gladly drag you away myself.”

The man falters, and for the first time since leaving the comfort of his room, he takes in Venom’s biker cut.

His tattoos.

His rings.

His chains.

The guy swallows and starts scurrying away.

“No, wait—” I yell for him, but it’s too late. My client runs back into his room, grabs his shit, tears down the stairs, and drives away. No. “No! Wait!” I repeat my plea and attempt to chase after him, but it’s like trying to break free from a chain wrapped around me. Venom’s too strong. It’s useless...

“What the fuck are you doing, Angel? Are you a fucking prostitute?” The harsh judgment in his voice cuts me deep. But my ears are muffled, and my heart wails in anguish. I don’t cry. I won’t cry. But I’m so close to it right now. And the thought of Victor finding out about this…

When you don’t do a job you’re supposed to do, you lose him money. And he doesn’t like losing money, especially when I was already on strike one. He’ll punish me in ways that will make me want to take a knife and drive it straight into my own chest.

I stare hopelessly at the empty parking spot the man’s car once occupied, as if I can wish him to reappear somehow.

“You have no idea what you just did,” I tell him, my voice shaking. “You have no fucking idea!” I shudder without tears. Panic’s running through me, and Venom just stares in confusion.
