“Why, yes I did.” I say smugly.
“Yes you did baby. And you’ve taken down another all by yourself. Not to mention the normal rogues. You’re quite the killer aren’t you?” He declares, and a beatific smile curls on my face.
“Why, yes I am.” I declare, unable to contain my pride at what I have managed to accomplish. I’ve come a long way from being at the mercy of a couple of rogues.
“I have fallen absolutely in love with you Lina. And I don’t think I can stop falling anytime soon.”
“Williem, maybe the songs are true, and fools rush in, but trust me baby, I can’t help it either. I can’t help falling in love with you too.”
So let's agree. We’ll keep on falling in love with each other for as long as we both live.
Deal. For as long as my unnatural life may be.
And mine too.
We make our promise to each other in the confines of our mind, our bond the only witness to it, but really, that is all we need.
Williem and I kiss to the applause of our little crowd, but we don’t pay them any attention. The moon has bound us together, and we will remain this way forever.

Sneak Peek
Chapter 1 – Hallie
This is the third time in a row I’ve had this nightmare.
In the dream, I’m always gagged with my hands and feet tied up, and whenever my captor tries to show himself, I wake up.
Every time I wake up from this dream, I feel like every muscle in my body has locked up, and I didn’t sleep at all. I’m exhausted, and now there’s cold sweat dripping down the back of my neck. Lovely.
I sigh, swinging my legs over the side of the bed. I fidget around the bed for my phone, find out my hands are rather clammy when I nearly drop my phone, then discover I have only an hour to prepare for my night shift at Don Hill's bar.
I groan as I drag myself out of bed and into the bathroom to take a cold shower, hoping to calm my racing heart.
