“Oh yes, Uncle Tyler will be just as proud as Daddy. We’ll have to take a video to show him.”

I smiled and my heart flipped in my chest. I loved making Uncle Tyler proud too. Daddy stashed our stuff in the locker after applying another layer of sunblock to both our bodies.

“Where to first, baby?”

“Look around first?”

“That’s a great idea.”

He took my hand, and we walked around the park. It wasn’t super big, so it wasn’t as intimidating as I’d first thought. There was a massive tubing area, a huge water slide, and two smaller water slides. My heart pounded in my chest looking at the biggest slide and I knew if I didn’t slide on it first, I would back out.

“Can we do that one, Daddy?”

Surprise flickered across his face, but he nodded. “Sure, baby. That looks fun.”

We followed the arrows to the stairs and climbed them up to the entrance. Each step I took made my tummy flutter harder. “You’re doing so good, baby,” Daddy whispered behind me.

A lady in a shirt that labeled her as staff handed me a large yellow float. “Make sure to stay seated until you reach the bottom.”

“Yes, ma’am.”

Daddy held the back of the float and I put my bottom in the seat. “Ready?”

I nodded.

He stepped back and I lifted my feet. The water snatched the float and spit me into the tunnel. The fast force spun me through the tunnel. Various shades of blue, green, and red flew past me. I held onto the handles tightly, but laughed in glee. It was really fun. The colors were pretty and every once in a while, the float sailed way up on the side of the tube, making me think I might fall out. I saw the light at the bottom and just as quickly as it began, I was back out in the sunshine, pulling my float out of the water and waiting for Daddy to come down.

He came down in a big spray of water and I clapped at his landing. He winked at me and pulled his float out before meeting me on the walkway.

“You did so good, babygirl. I am so proud of you.”

“That was so fun!” I beamed at him. I was proud of myself too.

“Do you want to do that slide again or try something different?”

“Again!”

“Well, lead the way, little one.”

I yawned again and Daddy chuckled. “Tired, babygirl?”

Nodding, I snuggled against him a bit more. We’d had so much fun at the water park and now we were enjoying a picnic by the river. “Can you take another bite for me, baby?”

I bit into the peanut butter and jelly sandwich Daddy was holding for me. He laughed, but continued holding the snack. I took another bite.

“Juice?” I asked.

He kissed the side of my neck. “It would be easier to feed you if you were sitting beside me, baby.” Daddy chuckled.

“Nu.”

I was sitting between Daddy’s knees with my back against his chest. I was too comfy to move.

“Nu?” Daddy teased, using his free hand to rub my belly.

“Nu.”

He brought the juice box to my mouth and I sipped through the tiny straw.
