Does he expect that from me? To be able to share with other people?

I won’t share him. This is just for me from now on.

What if he won’t drop the mask with me? What game can I play to draw it out?

Kidnapping? Chain him to my bed? So tempting.

Having him tied up and at my mercy leaves me breathless for a second. He’s perfection wrapped in a pretty package I want to sink my teeth into. I have to clear my throat to regain my composure.

His eyes drop to my face as I push him back. I’m gentle with it, but firm, trying to tell him with my eyes and feral grin that I’ve got this.

He’s mine now.

His mask is resettling properly when I slide my hand down to his and yank him back into me. The crush of his chest against mine makes me suck in a breath. He moves with me like we planned it out, twisting in a spin that takes us past a few dancers and off the dance floor.

His hand convulses around mine as we separate to walk over to the table. I pull his chair out with a smirk. Watching him sit like royalty has me huffing a laugh.

I feel like I just discovered the beautiful trunk in the attic had the ultimate treasure inside and I just opened it. I want more. Now.

When I turn to Tera, she’s watching us with eyes wide enough it looks fake. I can tell it isn’t. Does she know that I found out?

Max is grinning at me and giving me a thumbs up.

I raise an eyebrow at her, resting my hands on his shoulders possessively. He leans back, tilting his head to look up at me.

“She’s being fucking weird,” he says. His voice is a little loud now that we’re away from the speakers. I can’t resist sliding my hand up his throat to keep his chin tilted. Looking at only me.

“I am not,” Tera glares at him balefully.

I’m enjoying the hormonal Tera so much. This entire night has spun off its axis. The possibilities are endless. I can’t catch my breath. I stroke my thumb along his jaw, impatient now that I’ve given into temptation.

“You are,” Andi laughs. “You’ve been weird all week. What’s going on?”

Tera bites her lower lip and looks at her three guys nervously. They all grin back.

“I’m pregnant.”

Shade doesn’t react to the news, not taking his eyes off of me to acknowledge her. He isn’t resisting my hold at all. He’s enjoying the attention I’m giving him. His shoulders are relaxed and his lips are tilted in his serene smile. I want that look to be for me alone.

Everyone else looks shocked, then happy. Minus Ira and Brody, who don’t matter.

Shade should be happy for her. If he is, he doesn’t say anything. He keeps staring at me. I raise a brow pointedly at him, and his smile turns smug.

“I already knew.”

“What!?” Andi shrieks. “You told Shade first? What the hell, Tera?”

“I didn’t!” Tera protests in surprise. “I didn’t tell South either, but she knew too. It has to be a superpower. I swear!”

“Asher spilled it,” Shade tilts his head in my hold to see her as he reassures Andi with a mocking grin. “Right after Tera called me a dickweed.”

The news is delightful to hear. I release my hold to sign. “I am so proud of you.”

Tera looks aghast at everyone. When she sees my sign her cheeks flush and she starts her maniacal giggle. It shakes her shoulders as she covers her mouth with a hand.

“This is going to be amazing,” I give her my feral grin back.

“No,” she starts laughing instead. “You can’t use my lack of temper control to your advantage, Southie.”
