My eyes narrowed when all she did was grumble and stay in place. I eased my arm free and promptly tickled the ever-loving hell out of her.

“Stop! Fuck off,” she screamed, trying not to laugh.

Raven came flying through the doorway with the guys right on her heels.

“What the…” she sputtered.

“She wouldn’t wake up,” I shrugged.

“Seems to me she had it coming then,” Chase grinned.

“Traitors!” Sasha yelled as the guys left the room.

I rolled off the bed, kissed Raven on the cheek, and headed into the ensuite. I turned the shower onto hot and stripped out of my clothes. Fifteen minutes later, I was feeling much more human and was happy to find a pile of Raven’s clothing sitting on the counter for me, along with a toothbrush. When I stepped back into the bedroom, the girls were sitting on the bed waiting for me.

“Feel better?” Sasha asked, pulling me into a hug.

“Well, I definitely feel cleaner. I’m still not sure what I’m going to do about the whole Jason mess, but maybe now that I’ve calmed down a little, I should try talking to him again. After all, I didn’t handle it the way I intended it to. I kind of sprung it on him and didn’t give him five seconds to process.”

“If that’s what you need, I’m happy to take you to his place,” Raven offered.

“He’s at Seduction today. Could you take me there?”

“Of course. Would you like a coffee first?”

“No, I’d like to get going before the restaurant’s lunch rush.”

“I figured that’s what you would say. Let’s go.”

We were near the front door when Seb called my name. I stopped and grinned when I saw the travel mugs in his hands.

“Thank you, Seb. You’re a sweetheart,” I said, kissing him on the cheek.

“Hey! I made the coffee! Aren’t I a sweetheart too?” Chase pouted.

“Yes, Chase. You’re a sweetheart too.”

I rolled my eyes but kissed his cheek anyway. That man could lighten the mood if the world were ending. Raven and I left with our travel mugs in hand. Raven dropped me off as close as she could to the restaurant, but I was still about half a block away.

“I’ll wait for you, just in case he’s not there.”

“Thanks, Raven.”

I was almost to the front doors when I saw Jason. I smiled, hoping we would be able to figure things out.

“Jason!” I called.

When he turned to look at me, he looked completely shocked, but not any more than I did. Standing beside him was that little bitch, Cindi, and he had his hand resting on the small of her back. My eyes burned with tears and I spun around and ran as fast as I could to Raven’s car, ignoring Jason calling my name. Raven looked at me with surprise when I threw myself into her car.

“Drive!”

“But, Leah, Jason is right there!”

I locked my door just as he got to it. I couldn’t even look at him. He had betrayed me not even twenty-four hours after our argument.

“Leah, open the door!”

“Fuck you, Jason. Raven, I’m begging you. Drive.”
