“No. I don’t think that’s the best way to handle it. Raven and I will go. We’ve only had a couple of drinks and she’s much more likely to open the door for us,” Sasha offered.
“I’m the one who needs to fix things with her.”
I was getting pissed off. None of them understood just how important this was. They couldn’t possibly. I launched myself out of my chair… and fell flat on my fucking face.
“Fuck,” I muttered, glaring at their laughter. “Maybe you’re right.”
“Jason,” Raven said softly, “we’ve got this. Please trust us.”
“I do trust you. Thank you both. Are you guys leaving too?”
“Do you seriously think we’re going to leave you unattended,” Chase chuckled.
“Sorry, man. You’re stuck with us.”
“Maybe I should get something to eat.”
“I just threw something frozen in the oven. I can’t remember what it was but definitely something greasy and unhealthy.”
“Thanks, Chase,” I snickered. “I can always count on you to throw frozen something in the oven for me.”
“Glad to be of service,” he said, bowing down.
I rolled my eyes and whipped a pillow at him… and missed by a damn mile.
“Maybe you should avoid throwing anything until you’re not seeing double,” Seb joked.
“Jesus, why did I want you guys here?”
“Because you just love us that damn much,” Chase shrugged.
“What the fuck am I going to do if I can’t fix things with Leah?”
“Look, you fucked up. I’m sorry to be blunt, but you did. You two have been in love with each other from almost the beginning. You spent so much time trying to convince yourselves that wasn’t the case, that you might have lost it altogether. The Cindi thing was unfortunate timing, but you must see what Leah would have thought.”
“Seb, she should have trusted me. We’ve spent months building trust.”
“She should have trusted you? Really? Why should she have trusted you?”
“Because that’s at the very core of the Dom/sub relationship!”
They both looked at me like I was out of my fucking mind. I was getting pissed off all over again.
“You don’t get it, do you?” asked Chase. “She trusted you in that relationship. She knew that you would respect her boundaries and that you would never hurt her when you were playing. In the vanilla world, though? You shattered any trust there might have been with your performance at dinner.”
“Shouldn’t you guys be on my side?”
“This isn’t about choosing sides. I’m sure Seb will back me on this, but if you’re going to have any hope of resolving things, you’re going to have to be willing to fucking take accountability for your actions.”
“I do agree. Basically, you need to throw yourself at her feet and beg her forgiveness. You need to explain the shit with Cindi and you need to admit that you handled it badly.”
“Is there even a point without the trust?”
“Fuck you’re being stupid!” Seb growled. “You told her you didn’t want a relationship with her. She told you it was over and stormed out. Mere hours later, you’re walking into Seduction with your old sub. Leah thinks you don’t want her! It’s not a matter of trust right this second, but rather, appearance. First, you need to explain shit to her. Then you have to convince her not to give up and then the real work begins. You need to earn her trust back.”
“Fuck, this conversation is too hard to follow when I’m this drunk.”
“Well, you best get your head on straight before you even attempt a conversation with her. Sasha and Raven did you a huge favor stopping you from going.”
