I opened my lips just enough for Miles to slot the straw through and sucked obediently. The flavor was distinctly tropical and just shy of too sweet, but I drank until I couldn’t anymore.
“Good girl.” Kai nuzzled my cheek. “We’ll get you fed soon, too. Any requests?”
I shook my head, the motion feeling like water sloshing around inside an inflated balloon.
“Start with ice cream, the high-protein ones,” Diego suggested. “No chewing required.”
“I’ll put in the order,” Miles replied.
They were all tucked into the bathroom with me. I was totally naked and plastered to Kai, but I couldn’t work up an ounce of self-consciousness. My purr slowly rolled to life and Kai’s kicked on in response, the vibration in his chest making me even meltier.
“Comfy?” Diego asked, his smile coloring his tone with amusement.
“Mhmm.”
I lounged there in total bliss. Eventually they insisted on feeding me, Miles wedging himself alongside the tub with the others and spooning me delicious bites of creamy chocolate. By the time I got to the last mouthful, I was feeling considerably more human and much more tethered to reality.
“Sleep?” I murmured.
“Anything you want, sweetheart.”
Arms lifted me out of the bath and held me upright while someone toweled down every inch before bundling me under insanely soft blankets. Bodies tucked up against my front and back, a glorious amount of skin-on-skin that had all my instincts happy as a clam.
The next time I woke, I was trapped beneath a tangle of limbs, with cinnamon, clove, and nutmeg thick in my nose with whispered hints of cedar. I groaned, my exhausted body protesting, shifting and stretching. The room was dark so I could only tell who was where by scent. I snuggled closer to the person in front of me, getting a good whiff.
Diego.
My rustling around woke him, his hands sliding up my body from my waist to cradle the back of my head. “Hey there, precious. Feeling better?”
“That depends on your definition of better.” Fucking hell, I sounded like I was smoking two packs a day.
Diego chuckled quietly. “Let me get you some water.”
As soon as he climbed off the bed, someone moved to take his place. There was hardly any scent, which told me it was Miles. His T-shirt was soft beneath my fingertips. Kai wasn’t wearing a stitch of clothing behind me, but then I supposed I had gotten a lot closer to Kai than to Miles in that regard. I hummed softly and rooted my nose against Miles’s throat, growling when it didn’t reveal what I sought.
“Miles?”
“Yes, sweetheart?”
“I don’t like your scent blockers.”
“I can go off of them,” he promised. “I had to wait until your heat was fully over.”
“It’s over now?”
“It is. Now all you have to do is rest and let us take care of you. Whatever you need, we’ll handle. No request is too extravagant.”
Kai woke enough to pull me tighter against his chest before his breathing evened out again.
I liked the idea of them taking care of me. I wasn’t entirely certain I could stand at this point, so it was probably better if they managed everything for me anyway. My whole body felt like a bowl of overcooked noodles, and forming sentences was still an uncomfortable amount of work.
I curled my fingers in Miles’s shirt. “Go off them right now. I want to know.”
“I haven’t taken today’s dose. You’ll have to give it some time to process out of my system, though.” His thumb brushed over my cheek. “I’ll toss the whole bottle away just for you.”
Just for me.
Fuck if I didn’t love the sound of that.
