Even his deep laugh was sexy, another warm blanket being tossed over my naked body. I should have guessed his answer. He jerked me off the counter, turning in a complete circle while he still thrust deep and hard.

My slight shriek was followed by a strangled moan as I gripped his shoulders, locking my feet together. He spun me around again and I was finally driven into the most incredible climax, a solid wave hitting me in all the right places.

“Oh. Oh. Yes. Yes.” I was now clawing his back, wondering if the poor man knew I was likely drawing blood.

If he was fazed, I certainly didn’t know since he refused to stop. It was like the man was highlighting his stupendous strength, almost pushing me beyond the limits of what I could handle. But I wanted this moment to last for as long as possible.

As soon as I started to come down from the rafters, he seemed to sense I was losing my ability to hold on. With a solid stride, he was by the table, yanking out one of the chairs. When he sat down, I was shocked how graceful he was. His thick cock was still buried deep inside, throbbing even more than before.

I planted my toes on the floor, finally noticing Max out of the corner of my eye. He couldn’t care less what we were doing, simply happy to be rolling on his kitchen bed. I found it funny and as soon as I laughed, the huge man captured my mouth all over again. He didn’t stop there, digging his fingers into my hip and lifting me. The way he could hold me aloft with ease was just another testament to how powerful his muscles were.

Or maybe it was all about his resolve.

I had no idea and honestly didn’t care. What I knew was his kiss was enough to start another fire, the feel of his cock as it expanded deep inside amazing. Goosebumps popped along both arms, adding to the excitement of the moment. Although he swept his tongue inside like before, the kiss itself was short lived, his whisper dark and husky.

“Ride me, baby.”

He didn’t need to command me a second time. I rocked hard against him, savoring feeling more grounded and also being able to look him directly in the eyes as we fucked each other. I could swear on a bible the man never blinked. Not once. He was so intent on searching my soul that we were dumped into a beautiful vacuum where all light and sound ceased to exist.

The way time stopped around us gave everything a more sensual feeling. He was allowing me to take my time, enjoying the experience of having him inside. I took full advantage, riding him long and hard. I had my arms over his shoulders, still on my toes as I bucked against him. My pussy was clenching and releasing in a tempered way and I could sense it was driving him crazy.

He was doing his best to maintain some control, fighting his more primal urges. Did the man have any idea what he was doing to me?

The creaking sound of the chair brought me slowly down from the clouds. Suddenly, the scent of food was more powerful than that of the intoxicating man. He was such a man of surprises, fisting my hair out of the blue and jerking my back into the deepest arc I’d ever done.

The shift in the angle was just enough to toss me straight into another raging orgasm. I thought I’d screamed but I wasn’t certain of anything any longer.

Kage was a man of control, even lifting his hips from the chair as he added another dimension to our hard fucking.

But I sensed a minute or so later he was losing control, his chest heaving and the sound as if he was being strangled.

What was a very bad girl to do?

I squeezed my muscles, reveling in every sound he made. As soon as he let go of my hair, easing me back into a sitting position, I sensed it was all over.

The rush of adrenaline was high, the heat explosive, and in those few incredible seconds he closed his eyes, allowing a primal roar to erupt as he filled me with his seed.

This man was completely dangerous.

But for all the right reasons.

“Okay, so I think you’re going to like these,” Kathy said as she clicked her fingers on her laptop.

Days had gone by. Three days since the sun had broken out and Kage had been allowed to leave. I’d been in some crazy kind of fog since then, trying to work on the outline for the new book while searching for a text. It was crazy, completely out of character but the moment I’d met him, I’d changed.

He’d come through with getting my car fixed but his buddy had returned it to me, even washed and vacuumed. I hadn’t heard anything from Kage himself. I didn’t know whether to be pissed off or just accept that the two full days we’d had were wonderful, but had been just a fantasy and nothing more.

“Hel-lo,” Kathy said in a singsong voice.

“I’m sorry. I was just thinking about something else.”

“You have been since I got here two hours ago. And you’ve paced the floor, which isn’t like you. Are you certain something isn’t wrong?”

“How could it be? I have a new book coming out in two months, a far cry from the publisher’s usual eight or ten. I’m in the process of negotiating the next advance and it appears it’s going to be for a three-book deal this time. What could be better?”

“Right. That’s why you’re chewing on your fingernails. Just take a look at the artwork. I knew your great publisher wants a fancy-dancy cover reveal party and my art will likely be shoved into the wind, but I couldn’t help myself. And the only reason your book is getting published so quickly is because you were so late in getting it done.”

“Thanks so much for reminding me.”
