Tiffany nodded eagerly, and they set off down the path. As they walked, Zak found himself opening up to her in a way he rarely did with anyone. He told her about growing up in the palace and the pressures of being groomed for kingship from a young age. In turn, she shared stories of her life on Earth, her passion for teaching, and her sometimes-strained relationship with her family.

“It sounds like we both know a thing or two about living up to expectations,” Tiffany said as they reached the waterfall. The cascading water glowed with bioluminescent algae, casting a soft blue light over the clearing.

Zak nodded, watching the play of light across Tiffany’s features. “It’s not always easy, is it? Balancing duty with personal desires.”

“No,” Tiffany agreed softly. “It’s not.”

For a moment, they stood in companionable silence, watching the glowing water. Zak longed to pull her close, to tell her that she was his mate, his destiny. But Gerri’s words echoed in his mind, reminding him to take things slow.

Instead, he turned to her with a smile. “So, what do you think of Nova Aurora so far? Everything you imagined?”

Zak watched Tiffany closely.

Tiffany laughed, the sound like music to his ears. “Are you kidding? It’s beyond anything I could have imagined. The colors, the scents, the sheer alienness of it all... it’s overwhelming in the best possible way.”

Her enthusiasm was infectious, and Zak found himself grinning. “I’m glad you’re enjoying it. There’s so much more I want to show you.”

As the day wore on, Zak took Tiffany on a whirlwind tour of the kingdom. They visited the bustling market square where vendors sold exotic fruits and handcrafted goods. They climbed to the top of an ancient watchtower, marveling at the panoramic view of the forest stretching out to the horizon. At each stop, Zak delighted in Tiffany’s reactions, her curiosity and wonder reigniting his own appreciation for the wonders of his home.

As the twin suns began to set, they made their way back to the palace. Zak had arranged for a private dinner on one of the palace balconies overlooking the forest canopy.

“This is beautiful,” Tiffany said as they sat to eat. “Thank you for today, Zak. It’s been... magical.”

Zak reached across the table, gently taking her hand in his. The contact sent a jolt of electricity through him, and he saw Tiffany’s eyes widen slightly at the touch. “The pleasure was all mine,” he said softly. “I’ve enjoyed getting to know you, Tiffany. I hope... I hope we can continue to spend time together during your stay.”

Tiffany’s smile was warm and genuine. “I’d like that,” she said, giving his hand a gentle squeeze before pulling away to start eating.

As they dined on exotic Nova Auroran cuisine, their conversation flowed easily, punctuated by laughter and playful banter. Zak found himself more and more drawn to Tiffany’s quick wit and infectious humor. She challenged him in ways he wasn’t used to, unafraid to tease or disagree with him despite his royal status.

All too soon, the meal came to an end. Zak walked Tiffany back to her suite, reluctant for the day to end.

As they reached Tiffany’s suite, Zak found himself not wanting to say goodnight. The day had been magical, and he wasn’t ready for it to end. Tiffany turned to him, her gray eyes reflecting the soft light of the hallway.

“Thank you again for today,” Tiffany said, her voice soft. “It was... well, out of this world,” she added with a grin.

Zak chuckled at the Earth expression, but his laughter faded as he gazed into her eyes. The air between them seemed to crackle with tension, and he found himself taking a step closer.

“Tiffany,” he said, his voice low and husky. “I... I can’t stay away from you. I need to...”

He trailed off, words failing him. Instead, he cupped her face gently with one hand, his eyes searching hers for permission. “I’m going to kiss you,” he murmured. “If you don’t want me to, say so now.”

“I do,” she murmured.

Zak leaned in, pressing his lips to hers. The moment their lips touched, it was as if the world exploded around them. Fire seared his blood and traveled through his body scorching his veins. The air stuck in his lungs, and he felt Tiffany gasp against his mouth as she melted into the kiss.

She was so soft and warm. Her body was small and full of curves and he wanted to explore every inch of her. He tried not to overwhelm her with his need, reining in his panther from the desperate urge to mate her. The kiss was pure electricity and flames. She moaned and his body tensed at the way she pressed herself closer to him, a perfect blend of gentle exploration and burning desire. Zak’s hand slid from Tiffany’s cheek to tangle in her hair, pulling her closer. Tiffany’s arms wound around his neck, her body pressing against his as if she couldn’t get close enough.

When they finally broke apart, both were breathing heavily. Zak rested his forehead against Tiffany’s, his eyes still closed as he savored the moment.

“Zak…I…” Tiffany breathed, her voice a mix of awe and desire.

Zak met her gaze. The look of wonder and attraction in her eyes mirrored his own feelings. “Words are unnecessary, Tiffany. That was a moment of pure perfection.”

She licked her lips and he groaned at the way she seemed to savor his taste. He had to stop himself from picking her up and carrying her to his bed. To bed his queen.

“You’re right. It was perfect.” A slow smile spread across her face.
