“Oh, by the way, I'm Ginger, and this is Emerson. Across the table there, that's Ashley and Piper,” the redhead says as I sit.

“I don't know if there's much to tell. We met at one of the bars, and we just talked. Then we went to a concert, spent one night together, and he had to leave. I don't know if it's weird to say, but when you know, you know. I just knew.” I’m a little embarrassed, saying it out loud.

“That's not weird at all. It's pretty much how it happened for almost all of us. Hell, Six practically kidnapped me, and even then, I knew,” Ginger says, laughing.

“They saved me from being kidnapped. And I knew the moment I looked into his eyes,” Emerson says.

“To be fair, you were a staged kidnapping because you were working with the other side when you all first met,” Ginger says. All the women start laughing, and I instantly feel more at ease.

The more we talk and get to know each other, the more comfortable I feel with these women, and the more they remind me of the friendship I have with Penny and Bridget.

Time passes, but when Arrow finally appears back in the doorway, he looks tired. Leaning against the doorway, he’s looking at me with hunger in his eyes. It causes tingles all over my body.

“You ready for bed, Kitty Kat?”

“Yes,” I say, standing.

“Ooh, I like that nickname,” Ginger says.

“Yeah, well, I'm the only one who's going to be using it,” Arrow says. His voice is definitely serious. Ginger gives him a wink, like she knew that was going to be his reaction.

Arrow takes my hand and leads me back upstairs. I can't wait to be back in his arms again because I have been getting next to no sleep without him.

CHAPTER 7

ARROW

I’ve spent all morning helping Kat get to know everybody here at the clubhouse. She seems to fit right in with the other guys’ women, which is a relief. Now, I can sit back, watch her smile and laugh over and over again at all the stories being told.

It's been a while since I've taken a break from constantly being on the hunt for Savage Bones. But this morning, making sure Katherine feels safe and at home here is my goal for today and more important. Plus, the Whiskey River Riders will be here soon to help.

For the first time in a while, I’m at peace. At least until my hacker friend, Timmy, calls.

“Hey baby, I’ve got to take this really quick,” I say, holding up my ringing phone. She nods and then turns back to her conversation with Ginger as I step into one of the empty rooms downstairs.

“Hey, Timmy, please tell me you have something,” I say as I answer the phone.

“I do, and you're not going to believe it.”

“Is this something that Atlas should hear?”

“It's something probably all your officers should hear.”

He waits while I gather Atlas, Thunder, Six, Bear, Priest, and Stone. We all crowd into Atlas's office before continuing.

“All right, we're all here. What do you have?” I ask.

“Okay, so someone was definitely siphoning some money. I was able to trace it to a shell corporation account, and after a bit of digging, I could track it back to a guy named Tommy Longhorn.”

“I have no idea who that is,” I say, looking around the room. Everyone's shaking their heads as well. “Neither does anyone else here.”

“You probably don't know him by that name. You probably know him as Fright,” Timmy says.

“The Savage Bones Treasurer?” The shock in Atlas’s voice echoes how we are all feeling.

“The one and only,” Timmy says.

“But how did he get access to any of that information to siphon the money?” Thunder asks.
