I’ve never had an orgasm like that. I swear, I could get knocked over with a feather right this second.

“We fuck great in a bed,” I say, my head falling forward into her neck. “But, my God, woman, we fuck amazing outside it.”

She gives a little gasping laugh, like she’s still struggling for air and some satisfied part of me loves that I’ve managed to render her speechless.

Finally, she lifts her head to meet my gaze. “Let’s go to bed,” she says, her muscles softening against my body.

“Tired, baby?” I kiss along her collarbone, gaining enough strength to stand up so that I can turn off the shower and carry us both back out to the bedroom.

“Yeah,” she says with a sigh. “I feel like I could sleep for a week.”

“Mason’s coming for late breakfast tomorrow, but you’ll be able to sleep as late as you want, all right?”

“All right,” she sighs as I lay her down in the massive bed and slide in behind her.

Pulling her back tight into my chest, I wrap her in my arms, my knee settling between her thighs.

“Leo?”

“Yeah, baby?”

“I’m glad you’re going to be part of the baby’s life.”

“Me too,” I say as I slide a hand down to her stomach and spread out my fingers. “I’m the only Kincaid who has reproduced. I think this officially means I’m more potent than either of my brothers.”

She snorts then. “Or worse at using birth control.”

There’s my snarky girl. I nuzzle into her neck. “I might make a shit father. Mine sucked.”

“Mine too,” she answers. “I think showing up is the first bar to be being decent, though.”

“I think decent is a realistic goal.” I’m not sure I’ll meet it, though. I do know one thing. No one will hurt Kim or my child. I’ll see to that.

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVE

Kim

Sleeping late, I wake up to the sound of the blender. A smile tugs at my lips as I stretch, my body sore.

Sex with Leo is equivalent to hours of dancing in terms of stiff muscles.

I hear him coming up the stairs and I pick my head up to look around the massive bedroom I am in. Its space is made even bigger by the muted creams it’s been decorated with. Thick carpet covers the floor and gauzy linen curtains adorn the windows.

He called this place mine, but I know he isn’t giving me a house.

Still, it’s nice to think that he plans to be part of the baby’s life and that he’s willing to help. And for now, I’m going to take this opportunity to figure some things out.

First on the list, finishing my degree.

Working at Temptation isn’t going to be an option after last night, which means I need money for school.

I hate asking men for things. It feels like I’m just setting myself up for disappointment when I do, but as Leo enters the room wearing nothing but a pair of athletic pants, I sit up, stretching.

He stops in the door, his eyes scanning down my naked torso.

I grin because, despite the amazing view of this shirtless man, he’s made two spinach smoothies, one smaller, and one very large. “For me?” I ask, stretching my arms over my head as my stomach grumbles. I’m so hungry and a smoothie sounds amazing.

“For you,” he answers, moving deeper into the room. “After you’re done, I’ve got something else for you.”
