I shake my head. “No, you should always voice them to me, no matter what. We’re a team, Theo.”
He hums. “I’ll learn, Rory, I promise.”
I nod and tilt my head, placing my lips to his jaw. I whisper, “I love you….”
Moving his head so his lips brush against mine, he replies, “I love you, too, Firecracker, always.”
Smiling, I close my eyes as I gently run my fingers over our son's back. My head snuggly underneath my husband’s chin, and I feel content. I know that feeling will strengthen when Autumn gets home.
I’ll forever feel grateful that this amazing man fought so hard to have me in his life, to make me his.
I’ll never take this man for granted, and from this moment onward, I will always put him first, as he deserves.
EPILOGUE
Sniper – Five Years Later
I chuckle, watching Autumn, now eight, run after Harlen, who’s five and is the spitting image of me, as they run around the club yard.
The last five years have been amazing. Yes, my wife has kept me on my toes, but I wouldn’t have it any other way. Together, we’ve grown, leaning on each other.
She became my strength, and I became hers.
Losing our daughter was hard, but watching our son grow is a blessing, along with Autumn, and our four-year-old Rose, two-year-old Tara, named after Rory’s momma, and one-year-old Shane, named after my father.
I told my woman I wanted four more kids, and kept to it.
She’s currently four months pregnant and is adamant this one will be our last, but….
I want more. I love growing our family. I need a few more to run around with our other kids, and I’ll be happy.
“I know that look,” Breaker says to my left, and I give him a smirk. He shakes his head. “Your wife made it perfectly clear, when she announced you knocked her up again, that she wants no more.” He grins. “Brother, she looked ready to kill you when she stormed into church cursing you out.”
I chuckle. “Yeah, I know. She wanted to wait at least another year, especially considering how much she loves her job.”
He grins wider. “Quinn mentioned Rory was pissed because it took her two extra years to get through college and become the vet nurse she’s always wanted to be. Fuck, between her and Brook, that place is unstoppable.”
I shrug. “I can’t say I’m sorry. I mean, it’s not my fault she forgot to get the shot after Shane was born.”
He nods, sipping his beer, and asks, “What about after Rose and Tara?”
I grin wide. “I ensured she didn’t remember. I mean, she’d just given birth, her mind was on the baby….”
He chuckles. “You’re such an idiot.”
I shrug again. “An idiot with a family I never knew I wanted, and hey, you’re one to talk fucker; you have five kids.”
He smirks. “Yeah, because watching your wife get round with your child is fucking amazing, that’s why.”
I nod in agreement as I look around the room, kids running everywhere. The club is growing, brothers settling down, having children—fuck, Snake has four himself, and I love every one of them.
The kids run the place, and no brother gives a fuck. They’re the next generation.
My eyes catch Bill throwing Shane up in the air, making him giggle, and I smile. The Huntsmen visit most weekends, while Bill lives here permanently. We only use his family home when we visit New York, which we do at least once a month.
“Daddy!” Rose squeals, running my way, and I chuckle. I catch her, then plant her on my hip. She’s a mixture of my wife and me, her hair is a strawberry color, her green eyes looking so innocent.
I kiss her forehead, breathing her in.
