“No, no, please, no….” Momma gasps sobbing.
Nina struts in like she owns the place, grabs hold of my girl’s hair, and throws her on the floor where the blood is before proceeding to drag her out, her stomach scraping against the floor.
You can see her struggling before she shouts and—fuck me—Gracie runs in crying as she helps Nina drag my girl out.
My breathing picks up, and I swipe everything off my girl’s desk in anger, and then storm out of the office with a sobbing Momma behind me.
I get into the reception area where the bitch is struggling against my father, pleading for him to let her go, that she didn’t do anything but soon freezes when she sees me. When Gracie sees my anger, she physically pisses herself, making my father jump back, shouting, “What the fuck!” in shock.
If I wasn’t in panic mode, I would have laughed.
Gracie starts to plead, “I-I, please, she-she had footage of me screwing my momma’s husband, p-please, please, I’m sorry! Please.”
I don’t think, I grab my piece and aim it at Gracie’s head. She starts to scream, cry, and beg, but I ignore her as my father steps back and I press the trigger, kill shot to her head.
Fuck did she just say she was fucking her father, or did she mean her stepfather?
“My Darling…. Nina, she-she took Brook…. This is all my fault, oh God, it's my fault,” Momma cries, snapping me out of my irrational thoughts, and reality hits me?—
Fuck! She took my girl, she….
Breathing fast, I grab my mother's hand, not allowing her to blame herself for this. I storm out of the practice, bringing her with me. My dad shouts, “Snake, we need a clean-up at Brook’s practice, quick!”
I climb into the driver’s seat of my father’s truck, my mother getting in the back behind my seat, while my dad climbs in the front after making sure the blinds were closed and the clinic door is locked. I spin out of the parking lot, and out of the Summer’s farm, my mind on getting back to my room at the club, to find my girl….
Ten minutes later, Phil only just opened the gate in time, the truck just missing the edge of the metal gate as I drive onto club ground. Skidding to a stop near the door, I jump out of the truck, not bothering to switch it off, and run toward the club. Colt, our new prospect, and Timmy, rush past me to the club’s van, most likely to clean up my mess.
“Timmy, here’s the keys. Be fucking discreet,” my father snaps, and follows me inside.
All my brothers are here, standing and waiting, and I rasp, “My dad will explain,” and continue my path to my room, needing to find my girl.
My heart pounds, and fear like no other fills me.
I can’t lose her, I just can’t….

“Anything?” Quinn asks as she rushes into my room at the club, with Snake and Sniper following behind.
My momma wipes her tears, sitting next to me, watching me work, not saying a word.
She blames herself, but she shouldn’t; even without her, Nina was going to return. She’d gotten dumped by some guy she was seeing, and heard how good I had it at the club. Momma was just an easy route for her.
I squeeze her hand, hoping to reassure her as my eyes scan the screen in front of me. I shake my head at Quinn’s question as I scan through the town feeds. It’s been twenty minutes since I found her gone, and by the time stamp on her CCTV, its been four hours since she was taken.
She wasn’t even at work for fifteen minutes when she was taken—fucking dragged out.
My body trembles as two strong hands grip my shoulders, and I know it's Snake and Sniper.
“Blank your mind, brother,” Snake rasps and I shake my head, my eyes tearing up, knowing I can’t, but he squeezes tightly.
Sniper states, “You need to, brother. You need to think like this isn’t your love and unborn child at risk here. If you focus on who is missing, you’ll fail, and you know it. I know it's hard, but clear your mind.”
Knowing they’re right, I nod and close my eyes, taking a deep breath. Brook’s smile hits me, her eyes sparkling as she looks at me, and I tense. Both brothers squeeze my shoulders again. I take another breath, clearing my mind, before opening my eyes and looking back at the monitor.
My fingers move automatically, my mind not focusing on who is missing….
