Oh, fuck no. He didn’t say that. “How dare you call my sister a slut?” I come to Bay’s defense, but she doesn’t need it.
“Aww, do you think I care about your opinion of me?” Bay laughs. “You’re a controlling, narcissistic sociopath with small dick syndrome. My sister dodged a bullet there. Get lost, Jon. Lake is way out of your league, I’m glad she finally realized it.”
My ex-boyfriend’s eyes are full of hatred, when he looks at me and Bay. “My parents were right. They told me not to do it and I didn’t listen. Now I have only myself to blame.”
I’m confused by his bitter tone. “What are you talking about?”
He always asks his parents’ advice for everything, I hope to God he didn’t show them that dick pic.
“I’m talking about the fact that I came here to get you back and now I’ve ruined my life for nothing.”
He’s always been so dramatic. “We aren’t getting back together and I’m sorry you came all the way here. I’m not gonna lie to you, Jon. I’m still butt hurt that you cheated, but I mean it when I said that I moved on. If you’re worried about that dick pic getting out, don’t. I’m gonna delete it right now.”
I take my cell phone out with the intention to show him as I delete that photo, but he shakes his head.
“I’m not worried about that photo getting out. I did something even more stupid.”
“More stupid than trying to show off that pencil dick?” Bay giggles.
I elbow her to shut her up. I’m still mad at Jon, but a part of me is worried about him. He’s taking my refusal to take him back way harder than I thought. Especially considering that he was the one who broke up with me.
“What did you do?” I ask.
Nothing could have prepared me for the answer.
“I transferred to Star Cove.”
I must have misheard him. “You did what?”
“I transferred to Star Cove, so we could finish school together.”
Fuck.
I never thought I’d say this, but Jon’s parents were right. He should never have done something this stupid. “I’m sorry, Jon,” I say, mad that I feel the need to apologize when this is totally his own doing. “I hope you can undo this transfer, because if you did it on my account, this doesn’t change anything. You betrayed me, you broke my heart and any feelings I thought I had for you are no longer there.”
He shakes his head, his jaw set as he looks at me. “This isn’t over. I’m going to win you back.”
“Please, leave.”
Bay might be a pain in the ass, but she takes care of me for the umpteenth time. “Come on, Dipshit. Time to hit the road.”
She guides him to the front door. “You have somewhere to stay?” she checks, too kindhearted even toward someone she despises.
“They had some rooms left in one coed dorm. It’s a double, but I thought I’d spend most of my time here anyway.”
I can’t see Bay’s face but I can hear the glee in her tone. “I guess today you learned two life lessons. Don’t treat others like trash if you don’t want to be kicked to the curb.”
“What’s the second lesson?” Jon asks.
“Always get a second opinion before sending a dick pic. Here’s the second opinion. Never do it again, dude. Unsolicited dick picks are sleazy AF, even if you had a nice dick. And you absolutely don’t.”
She slams the door in his face.
“You ok, Lakey-Lake?” she asks, wrapping a comforting arm around me.
“Yeah. No. I don’t know,” I sigh. “I hadn’t thought about Jon that much lately and I just realized something.”
“What is it, baby sis?”
