Luca and Lakyn both urge me to continue.

“I stood in front of my locker and Jagger and Cole were whispering, looking at me exactly like people had been doing in every class all day. I turned around and I finally snapped. I asked them what the fuck crawled up their asses and they told me to open my locker. That’s when I finally understood.”

“What was it?” Lakyn asks.

I drag my gaze away from hers, settling it again between her legs, continuing to massage her at a torturously slow pace. “There was a flyer wedged inside. There was a photo of me on it, clearly taken from the university’s website, and it talked about my partying, my drinking, my fucking around. It was bad. It talked about how I ‘tricked girls into sleeping with me to then ditch them without a word.’ I mean, that wasn’t true. The girls I met at parties usually knew what was up when we hooked up. The worst part was the stuff at the end. It warned girls all over campus not to hook up with me if they didn’t want to end up pregnant or with an STD.”

There’s sympathy in Luca’s voice when he says, “Fuck. That’s rough. Was it Maya?”

“I have no idea, but I think so,” I admit. “I got called into the Dean’s office even before practice was over. Coach was there and it was bad. The athletic program is really important and the reputation of this entire school depends on it. That’s the speech I was given. The Dean wanted to know who did it and if I had really knocked somebody up. I obviously didn’t get anyone pregnant nor did I give her an STD. I was clean and I always used condoms with all my hookups. But this isn’t the point. Those flyers had been spread all over campus. People were talking about the hockey team and Gamma Delta Tau. The Dean was clear that hadn’t I had great grades and a stellar performance on the ice, I would have gotten kicked out of the team. Maybe even expelled. They wanted a name, they wanted to know who posted those flyers to make an example out of them.”

I know what Lakyn is going to ask me even before she voices the question.

“Did you give them Maya’s name?”

I shake my head. “I was ninety-nine percent sure it was her, but I had no proof. A part of me also thought that I deserved it. Granted, I hadn’t promised her anything and she knew how I acted because she had seen it countless times. But I also knew she wasn’t a puck bunny or a party girl and we were friends. I should have known she would have wanted more than a one and done.”

I observe the way Lakyn takes in my admission. I hadn't intended to tell her about the worst thing I’ve ever done, but I feel strangely relieved that it’s out in the open.

“So how did you get out of hot waters without giving them a name?”

The question comes from Luca.

“I told Coach and the Dean that I took full responsibility and I meant it. If I hadn’t been that careless and always in a drunken stupor, I would have probably known not to stick my dick where it would have caused trouble. I got put on probation for my entire sophomore year. The team went through every corner of campus to get rid of those flyers. It was actually Topher’s idea that they should help. That was why he was voted unanimously president of Gamma Delta Tau when the past president graduated. I guess he changed since then.”

“Power gets to some people’s heads,” Luca says pensively. “Believe me, I saw that happen many times.”

There’s a beat of silence and I wonder if Lakyn will see me in a different way now. The fame of player and party animal has followed me regardless of the fact that I spent last year cleaning up my act within reason. I haven’t gotten wasted since that fateful weekend and I stuck to the puck bunnies when I needed to get laid because they knew the score for the most part. Do I expect a medal for that? No. I just hope Lakyn won’t decide that I’m not worthy of her when she has Luca and Cash vying for her attention.

“So why the tattoo?” she asks. “Is that Maya on your arm?”

She sounds angry and I realize why. She’s jealous.

“Fuck no,” I chuckle nervously. “My dad always says that women are the devil. Apparently he partied hard too in college and got into some trouble before he met my mom and she tamed him. This demon girl is here to remind me not to chase the wrong stuff, this is why she’s holding a martini glass. She’s a symbol, that’s all.”

I see uncertainty shine in Lakyn’s blue eyes. “How am I different? Is it because I don’t party? Am I boring?”

Shit.

Me and my big mouth. That wasn’t what I meant. At all.

“Boring?” I snort. “Lake, you’re the opposite of boring. Pretty girl, before you I never thought I’d find someone who gets me, who shares some of my passions and at the same time is so fucking hot that she makes me walk with a permanent boner.”

A smile tugs at the corner of her mouth. “Really?”

I’ve been massaging the inside of Lakyn’s tight pussy, making sure she’s relaxed and ready for me.

“I’m tired of telling you how I feel about you, Lake,” I grind out, taking my fingers out of her tight heat and pulling her closer to me by the backs of her thighs. “I’m gonna show you.”

I sink into her with one single, hard thrust.

My hips drive forward until I’m balls deep inside her wet, tight heat.

“Blaze.”

It’s a gasp of surprise mixed with a moan that tells me that this feels as good to her as it does for me.

“Are you ready to come on my cock, pretty girl?” I growl.
