We’ve shed tears for our fallen brothers and blood in making sure our country stayed as free as our forefathers made it.

It’s no surprise we are falling for the same woman. We kind of knew it would happen at some point.

“What the fuck are we going to do, Hawk?” I pushed up to my elbows, the room slightly spinning.

Right now, all I could see was Hawk taking the beautiful nurse of ours from behind while she slipped those pretty red lips of hers over my fat cock. I couldn’t think about running or what it would take to even get out of this bed. But for her, I would damn try if I had to.

I fell back against my pillow. “Jesse Jordan!” I rolled the name around. A tough yet sweet, playful name for a delicate morsel. But her exterior easily fooled soldiers into taking her orders.

“I can’t believe we agreed to the marathon. The last one almost killed us both. We were in bed for a week straight.”

“We gotta get the hell outta here so we can make some plans. Train some more.” Hawk lay staring at the ceiling, but I knew what was going on in that mind of his—pure smutty kink and dirty ideas of how to make her see past our rough exteriors. How did I know that? Because I had the same thoughts going through my head.

I shifted my gaze to Jesse as she bustled her sweet body up and down the corridor, seeing to other patients. Lucky bastards. Occasionally, she’d throw a glance in at us and every damn time I thought my heart would explode.

“She’s more than just interested,” I mumbled, low.

Hawk grunted. “I don’t think she completely understands just how interested we are or how turned on she is by the idea of two men wanting her. We’ll have to be gentle and patient. But you’re right. We at least know she likes us enough to consider what we want. Did you see the way her nipples pressed against her top when you held her hand? Fuck, I’ve never been so hungry in my damn life for a woman.”

“I’d have to be blind not to have seen.” Two ripe cherries had peaked beneath her shirt, begging for my lips, tongue, and Hawk’s as well. “I saw how she tightened her fingers around yours and acted like she let us both go reluctantly.”

Hawk turned onto his side and closed his eyes. “You better try to rest, Kane. We need to get out of here by week’s end.”

“Why’s that?”

“Because my balls won’t hold back the load I’m brewing for much longer and I have a plan to give our girl what she’s looking for and it’s not just a roll between the sheets with us.”

“Nah, our baby isn’t a one-night fuck ’em and leave ’em kinda girl.” I closed my eyes. “Your plan better be good because I’m not above kidnapping her if it comes down to it.”

Jesse

“Hey Jesse, wait up.”

Lora flagged me down just as I stepped out of the hospital, ready to head home after a long twelve-hour shift. Everything but my head ached, but nothing a good run wouldn’t fix. Hopefully.

I had on my favorite running shoes, a pair of black running shorts that gave me the most flexibility and a halter top that barely brushed the top of my shorts.

Perfect workout gear for an early morning run home several blocks from here as a warmup for tomorrow’s fundraiser race for military families. The last three weeks have flown by and crawled at the same time for multiple reasons. With summer in full swing, lots of soldiers were coming in dealing with dehydration and sunburns anywhere from light to severe. They did tough work protecting our country and I pounded the corridors of the hospital willing to do anything to make sure the men under my care didn’t suffer if it could be helped.

But that wasn’t the only reason the last weeks were heavy. Kane and Hawk were discharged from the hospital the day after we all struck a deal. An hour after they swept out just as quickly as they bulldozed in, it all began.

Every day since, one thing or another arrived for me from the men. Either while at work, or at home. Often with little notes attached that either made me smile or blush. Oftentimes, it was both. How they garnered my address I have yet to find out.

I waved at my best friend.

I couldn’t help but smile. This made twenty bouquets, this time white daisies from the look of it, and the usual white envelope perched between the petals.

Oh boy.

“Didn’t think you would get away without your daily dose of romance, did you?” Lora nailed me with her arched brow look. “So, when are you gonna spill the beans and tell me who your mystery man is?”

I blushed hard and played it off, using the envelope as a makeshift fan. I felt bad for not telling her it was two men—the same ones she also had the hots for.

“Look, it’s already getting late in the morning and I don’t wanna be running when it’s too hot out. In due time. Promise, ’k? I’m not even sure I want to pursue any of this craziness that keeps finding me, to be honest,” I explained, a little wide-eyed as she passed over the bundle of flowers.

“Oh, you tease,” she joked with an easy smile. “Fine, have your secrets for now. It won’t be long before you’re spilling all the dirty deets to me over beer and pizza.”
